Edited: Was One star but now...
Original review: Would appear that it will only be usable for 30 days as the required Desiccant Pads are not available (have to be changed every 30 days), Catit dont list them on their site or reply to emails regarding this major problem.Other than that 🤬, the dispenser works well and is easy to use via the phone app to control times and portion sizes.Edited: Catit have, at last, got their act together and the Desiccant pads are at last available to order. An excellent product, if a little pricy, ensures our cats are regularly feed even if we are out of the house. Another 'Amazonian' suggested that much cheaper pads are available elsewhere if Catit cant supply in future.

Excellent Product
Really glad we purchased for our cat Murphy. For peace of mind more than anything to know he’s been fed while we’re at work and he also seems to like the schedule. The app has been great too, it flagged one issue with us and we were able to resolve it through the app. Overall would recommend!

There are issue with the app and it doesn't work
Looks great but the app has issuesLooks great but the app has issues, the screen wouldn't scroll down so I couldn't sign up - Catit customer service did this bit for me but then the app still wouldn't work. I did all the internet hub alterations, which I think likely beyond many people and still nothing. I couldn't use the AP alternative was to add a product either. But none of this is my actual issue - I bought this product as we had a family bereavement and I was going to be coming and going and wanted puss to have regular meals. I constantly asked for someone to call me and talk me through set up - they refused. I had to waste my time sending screen shots to them to get email replies that still didn't solve the issue. I was eventually told to return the product for testing and try another. I bought via Amazon, so the new one arrived the following day. Still no joy. I tried leaving a message on their Twitter feed hoping they would have someone call me - but they still just wanted me to call them and when I said I'd had it and was going to return it to Amazon and complain to Amazon they were dealing with an awful company the twitter reply was "fair enough"! That just about sums them up. Those screen shots were emailed to Catit but I've heard nothing. Product number two is boxed for return and an entirely different product on order. Stay well clear unless you have lots of time and patience.

Nice but somewhat ratty, somewhat big
I love CatIt stuff (water fountains, bowls, etc.) and I thought I'd try this for dry food.First impressions - the pieces don't quite snap securely into place but rattle around; the lower feeding bowl does not click in place also - if you lift the unit then it remains on floor or falls onto it - not great. Unit quite big also - could probably hold 2 weeks of food! But is that really needed?Wifi connection was OK, pair with app was OK and firmware update was also OK. App is decent.Portion sizes seem to vary - sometimes a portion was enough, sometimes two. I do understand it depends on the food - this was the standard Whiskas dry food that likely must have been tested as so common. Button for extra feeding is a bit awkward - I do understand it has to be there to be the "nose" but perhaps place it as high as possible together with the "whiskers".Remote app access and feeding was OK - one thing if schedule is missed (power drop, connection) the feeding is not done later on - perhaps a setting to feed later would be good. For the price these days it does not seem that cheap considering so much competition - but if you trust/like CatIt then better proposition. In the end - ask yourself if you really need it - unless you go away for many hours regularly then maybe not.

Such a clever device
I bought this for my cat last Christmas as she is an angel. It is such a user-friendly device, same as all Catit products, and it so useful for dispensing food while you are away with other features such as and app with timer for preprogrammed meals etc. I love it and my cat does too! Food stays fresh as well. I have replaced the descant packet as advised and the food inside is still perfectly dry. Highly recommend to other cat owners.

brilliant
would have liked the model with a camera but that is much dearer. This one was bought to give me more freedom on day trips and as that it is brilliant. works from wi-fi, you can programme feeds, the time and quantity, it sends a notification to your phone that it has done that and if you are delayed away from home you can simply add more food portions from your phone. If I can afford the camera one in the future I could also see the cats are ok (they share just fine) . .... but that's almost twice the price. speaking of price I notice it varies a lot. try to catch it when its lower (£65 in my case)

Wont connect to wifi anymore after 6 month of use
I was happy with that purchase at begining. Even though connecting the auto feeder to your wifi router was a nightmare. it did work quite well and was reliable.Until recently when it stopped connecting to wifi router and the wifi led is off all the time. I tried everything including resetting to factory settings. But it does not work anymore after only 6 month of use.So it is definitely not worth the money.I am currently chasing up the Catit technical service, so lets see if they can fix it. But in the meantime, I had to buy another autofeeder (petlibro brand) as this is essential for my cat to be fed.

perfecto
