Great light!
Very happy with this light. Setting the auto function takes a bit to understand but worth it! Very convenient when Iโm not home. Puts out a fair amount of heat, but have it on my 75 gallon tank so not much of an issue. Love that it has adjustable brightness. I need a stand to allow for adjustable height though, just my preference as I have plants in the top of the aquarium that would benefit from the full spectrum lighting as well.

Amazingly Cool Light!
Yes, programing can be tedious. Take your time, be patient with the directions and yourself. If you choose mode 53 (DIY), make sure you turn OFF the other two modes. Being able to ramp up and down the intensity (& color) on a schedule is a feature i've wanted for years. I went for a gentle warm white fade up in the morning, then a couple of hours a bright white mid-day, and a progressively more red shift as the fadeout works into the evening, finishing the cycle with a couple of hours of 10% blue-only before going off completely just before midnight. The quantity & quality of light is truly amazing for fresh water. I haven't had a salt tank in years, I can't really speak to its blue output being appropriate to make a salt tank have that gorgeous blue/uv pop!. This IS a wonderfully flexible fixture for the cost. We shall see how well its holds up longterm. The only two 'Cons' I see so far, the shortest of hiccup in the power will clear the clock setting, it holds the programing, but not the time. Makes me ponder putting a very small computer style UPs on the aquarium. Lastly, the brackets holding the light over the tank make me a tiny bit uneasy, if younger children interact with tank, or if you live in an earthquake prone area, in just my opinion, its possible the fixture could end up falling into the tank. Perhaps its not meant to be used on an open-top tank, that said, I may put a piece of plate glass under the light. Both of these topics are mentioned in the instructions. In short, for the money, its such an amazing light! ..even for uses beyond an aquarium. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Decent quality inexpensive light
This light fixture works pretty well the programming is a little tricky but has a great amount of settings and timing features adjustable so it works well on my small 10 gallon tank

Great light, great price.
This is the second of these that I have ordered, and both have been great so far. They are super bright and really brings out the colors of the fish in the tank, and works great for the plants I have. My only gripe with the product itself is that the timer is a little confusing to use but once it is set you are fun, unless the power goes out. On the second light I ordered I ended up with a used light instead of the new one that I ordered but amazon was quick to help with this, but just be sure to check your light and packaging when you get it to make sure you are getting a new one.

Exceeds expectation
Started to get back into my old aquarium with my kiddos and have been doing a lot of research for various items that I need to buy. I needed a new light fixture and in my typical Amazon shopping technique, I'd always filter products that are shipped by and sold by Amazon, to alleviate typical angst with low quality products that usually never meet my expectations. Between various youtube reviews and consulting fakespot, I arrived on hygger. Figuring it had free returns, I didn't have anything to lose if I wasn't initially satisfied. I opted for this particular one as it provided more granular control over the 24 hour light cycle (some would consider that a negative as it adds complexity, but it really wasn't that bad to set up at all). The brightness and array of colors fit my need for my 10 gal tank. I appreciate the thin design to avoid as much clunky objects that detract from the aquarium experience. I personally like having the controls on the wire instead of on top of the led light itself, like other hygger models have - my tank sits higher than normal and would constantly require a step stool to use. For the money spent and the value received, at this early point (only had it for a few days), I consider this an overwhelming win. Granted, time will tell how durable it is - I'll try to make the effort to report back if I encounter any issues in the short run. My only complaint, albeit a very minor one, I don't particularly like how the led light on the wire control never turns off. I would have thought a simple 10-15 second timeout when there are no key presses could have easily been incorporated.

Great
Nice light. Works great in my planted aquarium. Easy to set up the timer. Only issue is every time thereโs a power outage you have to reprogram the system.

An excellent inexpensive plant growing aquarium light!!
First thing I do not like the timer and it being so complicated to setup. Why not just a simple day timer with EZ instructions on how to set it up??? You know like it comes on at 9:00 am and goes off at 9:00 pm?? That's the simple I seek!!! It must not be complicated enough. Anyway I have my light mounted on an "Adjustable Holder Bracket" built by Driamor so I can get some more altitude between that light and the surface of the aquarium. Anytime I purchase a new light I'm buying one of these "Adjustable Holder Brackets" from Driamor for it as they really add a lot in how you want to adjust your light. But this light does grow plants very well and it's very adjustable but complicated if you like to play with such things. But for the money it's an excellent high quality aquarium light...

bright and well built, beautiful lighting, but painfully difficult and tedious to program
I'm a big aquarium enthusiast, and bought this LED fish tank light for my 20 gallon tank after my previously one crapped out. My tank hosts a variety of fish including angels, tetras, my big pleco, and ghost knife fish, as well as live plants to help keep nitrates reduced (hence, I needed lighting for the plants to feed off of). I shopped around at the big chain pet store and they wanted $60+ for LED fish tank lights. I found this on Amazon and bought it as the price was right. This light is study, nice looking, and very well built. The LED lights are great, bright, colorful, and powerful. I'm quite happy with the way it appears... when it works right. Despite having a technical mind, my brain is too fried by the end of my day job to have to learn such an incredibly difficult timer to control. This thing took me weeks (of my fish tank constantly changing the lighting) till I finally sat down and watched their video repeatedly on how to program it. I want to utilize the different colored lighting, so the custom lighting settings is what I wanted it. The custom lighting has several different levels you can program, you can control which times they turn on and what color lighting you want. Unfortunately, it is very tedious and slow to program every level of lighting. What's worse, if the power goes out or you unplug it by accident, it resets and loses all of your custom settings. Another bad thing, the controller is not water proof, so if it hits the water, you're in trouble to zap all your fish. There's a decent amount of wire to the controller, but it's still a concern. I really wish this thing had some kind of Bluetooth connectivity to a phone app to control the lighting. Unfortunately it doesn't. I'm sad to say, I can't recommend this fish tank light to anyone. My biggest issue is just the tediousness of programming it. If I had to buy one again, I would go with something easier to program, even if I had to spend more money.
