ALLIMITY RM-L08 Remote Control Replace fit for Humax Freeview TV Recorder FVP-4000T FVP-5000T FVP-5000 FVP4000T FVP5000T FVP5000

I ordered this new remote for my HUMAX FREEVIEW PLAY which had the same code at the bottom RM-LO8.and had the same frontage, but it did not have the word HUMAX on it like the original remote. Even though it said "No programming required" it did not work at all with new batteries. Had to call a TV Engineer who managed to put in a code from the Instruction booklet, then it worked perfectly! I had to pay the engineer obviously , but was glad I didn`t need to return the item. I do think this remote was not for the original HUMAX Freeview that I have --but glad it works. So other Humax owners beware if needing a new remote control.

I have a Humax FVP 4000T as you can see from attached photo. I ordered two of these as last time I ordered similar it didn't work so was sent back. Now the original remote is failing almost unusable I though I'd try another make...I put new batteries in both of these, the red light flashes but has no effect on my Humax box, utter rubbish so I'll be sending these back too and will try and source an original new Humax item.Updated to addHaving bought a replacement from Humax (£30 Inc postage) this also wouldn't work. I discovered that the Humax remote required you to hold down the '0' and 'OK' buttons together for 5 secs, then a 'pair remote' instruction appears. This enabled my new Humax remote...However doing the same with these two spurious remotes no pairing instruction appears, ie they don't work.As an aside I notice that although advertised as for the fvp 4000t Humax this doesn't appear on the wrappers the remotes came in, that label just has fvp 5000t on it even though the remotes have RM -L08 on them (as does my original and Humax replacements remotes)

Bought for a HUMAX FVP-5000T 500 GB Freeview Play HD TV Recorder - I liked that the batteries from the old remote control unit went into the new remote unit and it worked - no codes or pairing required.Happy days

OMG! For many months we've struggled with not being able to call up or fast forward our recordings. It suddenly occurred to me that it was only those two buttons that were dodgy, and realised they were worn out. This new one has saved our sanity!

An exact replica of the remote control I needed for my Humax PVR at half the price Humax wanted to charge. There is no brand name, the buttons are not made of quite the same material but that isn't an issue. the only thing I couldn't do was get my LG television to recognise the remote control even though I tried all of the codes listed in my TV manual - this just means I have to turn off the TV with its remote rather than this one, so nothing to grumble over.

Ordered this to replace an original remote that had several buttons not responding when pressed. Was skeptical whether this would work. However, skeptic no more! All I had to do was put new batteries in it and the new remote worked immediately, straight from the packaging. No set up required. Very easy and solved my problems immediately. For the price, a great value fix.

A very quick service. I ordered this replacement control for my Humax PVR at about 4.00pm 30th May and it arrived today (31st May) at 9:15 am.This remote control is lighter and easier to hold than original one.I just inserted the batteries and this remote worked straight away when you insert 2 "AAA" batteries.

In general the device works great, but you pretty much always want the TV on/off button to work too. It does (once you program it), but if you lose power (eg change batteries or, in our case, drop it) that information is lost and you need to reprogram it. That is a pain especially if you can't remember the code for your TV. I wouldn't buy this one again for that reason.
