Very Bright, but doesn't glow quite as long as advertised.
These are really cool little tubes and are more durable than I expected. I have one on my motorcycle key, which inserts on top of the headlight assembly, so this little guy spends hours every day bouncing around in the wind and rebounding off the chrome, and hasn't even gotten it's first scratch. The included keychain is good quality, too. When in bright sun, like my bike key usually is, it will charge quickly and shine very brightly if taken into a dark space, but the brightness fades to a dull glow rather quickly. It also takes a bit to change using a bright flashlight, though a UV light does the job faster, but again, it fades to a dull glow within a half hour. Basically, if it's daytime and you drop your keys in the shade or into a dark place like a sewer grate, you'll probably find them very easily. If you lose them in the dark, it will could help you find them using a bright flashlight, but only if you sweep slowly enough to allow the material inside the vial to charge as the beam passes. Just don't expect it to still be glowing through the night, even if it was in direct sunlight all day long. It's much more cost effective than a tritium vial, but not quite as convenient. Then again, with these you don't need to worry about carrying a radioactive isotope in your pocket, either. The included photos are comparing this item to two other glow in the dark keychain I own. The Ni-Glo is clearly the brightest, by far. It also retains its luminesce much longer, but it's still only for an hour or two. The pics were all taken at the same time using different shutter settings because I couldn't decide which best illustrates the difference between the three. They had all just made the morning journey home from work in my pickup and had the same amount of light exposure.

Essential, Reliable, and Effective
These little guys are definitely very useful in many different ways, and they deserve 5 stars. Now don't expect these to glow as bright as a chemlight, or rely on them as an ambient light source. Your using these to keep your awareness on something in the dark. I bought these right before my family and I lost our home. We have lived six months in the Cascades and I have used these to mark lines, bags, tent zippers. We even adopted a huskie and I use two of these on his collar and harness. I always know where he is when he wants to be on his line at night without having to spot him with a light. He even ran off when I first go him. I spent 6 hours looking for him at night in a very remote mountainous location. I saw two faint green lights moving around so these definitely were a major help spotting Koen. Honestly worked better than the flashlight since he was camouflaged in the brush and they stood out very noticeable in pitch black darkness. They charge very well in the sunlight and naturally activate at night so once you set them up around camp you'll notice them at night. They glow as long as advertised, and for a few minutes the'll glow as bright as a chemlight. Like I said these are markers. Not light a source for ambient lighting. When your in a very dark to pitch black environment or walking into dark places during the day, these will always be very visible and keep your awareness, or others aware of whatever you have them attached. I use the UV light on my Olight clip light. It takes 10 minutes to charge the glow lights with a UV light and you can do it whenever with relying on the sun. Don't get disappointed once the very bright radioactive glow dims down to a steady glow after afew minutes. It's still glowing bright enough for hours that you can't miss it everytime your eyes adjust to the darkness around you. These will always be glowing a lot brighter than the dark. I recommend always keeping them in a zip lock or something you can't lose them if you collect many. I find the pen clip attachment that comes with them to be the most useful for marking anything to a guy line or even a tree branch being able to detach it quickly. Even holds in the storms. It'll safe your life looking for your med kit in the dark if you have personal life depending medications you can't lose. Or if your stumbling around your tent in the dark looking for the zipper in desperate need to get outside so you can head nature's calling. These mark anything you need and work like a charm in the dark I highly recommend having these in your kit for emergencies or everyday use. I rely on them every night I truly do, and they have been very helpful indeed in my situation. Just another small thing in my kit with a very useful purpose to everyday life in the wild.

Fair performance but limited usefulness
Okay, I couldn't resist. Thought I'd see what the current "best" glow gadgets are up to, including this product. After experiencing rather unimpressive glow longevity to bright UV and other performance flashlights, I exposed the Ni Glo to direct AZ 12:00 sunshine for 30 minutes and took it inside to do a comparison with a double element, 25mm X 3.5mm tritium lamp. I'm not comparing them as products but needed a baseline / control to measure the dimming against. At 1min the Ni Glow was at least 10X brighter, as expected, illuminating the basin of a white bathtub with enough light to see if anything was in it. At 5min it was 3-5x brighter than the tritium lamp. At 15min. the brightest portion of the Ni Glo was dimmer than the tritium lamp but because it has more surface area, it was producing a similar overall output against the background. By 30 minutes the Ni Glo was noticeably dimmer than the tritium lamp and perhaps 1/3-1/2 less back glow & overall output. Surprisingly, the pictures don't do a good job of showing the difference at this mark. At 1hour the Ni Glo was quite dim producing 1/4-1/5th the amount of light. I tried to get a picture of this but the phone compensates and the difference just wasn't captured. Perhaps with manual exposure the difference could be shown but I didn't include a 1hour picture because it just doesn't representative of what my eye was seeing. For $5-7, it's not too bad. Best used might be on a set of keys so that when you come in from outside you can see them in the bottom of a bag or purse, provided they had been exposed to light before you put them in there. Beyond 15min, it's usefulness is limited, even inside with most of the blinds drawn closed. If you're thinking of hanging this at the top of a small tent as a marker or comfort light, forget it. It hardly works at a reference point of light after 1-2 hours. By comparison, a 25mm tritium tube can easily be used as a reference point. It's immediately noticeable in a really dark house or environment inside of 10 yards.

Small & visible
Compact, durable glow sticks that charge traditionally by being placed in sunlight. These things are perfect for my needs (ie: marking potential tripping hazards around my campsite at night and attached to headlamps/ lanterns to be located in the dark. They are not super bright and not supposed to be. They are visible for hours in the dark with a full charge though which make them perfect for locating or identifying items at night.

Third grade for tagging equipment. For pets
My dog is black and difficult to see at night so right before I put my dog out to pee I shine my flashlight on this for just a few seconds and I could see him everywhere in the yard. Yes I could use my flashlight but I like to sit out there quietly and have a cigarette and watch the dog in silence. The brightness you see is quite literally one second or so blast out of my 1000 Olight. Of course any flashlight will work I'm sure and after 3 minutes in the direct sunlight really makes them shine. The brightness does diminish quickly but if you are in a dark environment your eyes seem to adjust and it stays visible. I'm sure I don't have to explain how the dilation of pupils work in the dark. But I like them. I included a picture of my dog it's so red that he's nearly black. And there's also a picture of it up against my tritium compass. It seems to keep a very faint glow that's always there. And it never got the chance to gather any more light than what's available from the TV and ceiling

Very Dim and faded Fast. I Returned It.
Yellow Gear AID Ni Glo 2" Mine must of been faulty. It was very dim and faded very fast. Nothing like described by the five star reviews had described, but exactly like the one star reviews had described. I returned it as it was unusable as a night dive glow stick or even to identify equipment in the dark after an hour or two. .

FANTASTIC
Bought these over a year ago because the tritium ones are crazy expensive. These are a FANTASTIC compromise! SUPER bright and hold there glow for a long time. Have 1 one my wallet and one on my keys. They glow way brighter than the tritium ones

Meh
I've uploaded pics of what this looks like after getting hit with 10,000 lumens (if you don't know much about light, 10,000 lumens is 5x - 10x brighter than an average fairly bright flashlight, or 2x - 5x brighter than car headlights on 'high') for a few seconds. I've put a competitor's (UVPaqlite) product alongside it for comparison. The UVPaqlites are bigger, which makes them a bit more visible: obviously when you're dealing with a very faint light source, a small one will be harder to see than a big one, but the big ones also might not fit on small zipper pulls and so on. As you can see, these are only ok, they last maybe 10 - 20 minutes at a decent brightness then get very faint. You could probably not use this to read after 10 - 20 minutes without recharging it. It would not make an effective nightlight after 10 - 20 minutes, either. I would not trust this to be visible for longer than 10 - 20 minutes on a dive, and while yes, you can recharge it, you might need to set a repeating alarm to remember to do so on dives. I don't really suggest buying these unless you're in a hurry, as you can make them on your own, very easily, and save a lot of money. Look for youtube videos about making reusable glow sticks and glow cubes using glow powder like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0RUBKV/ mixed with glycerin, resin or silicone caulk (Be aware that if you use a silicone caulk that cures with humidity, it can leak acids which are NOT safe for children, and may even cause bleeding if left pressed directly against skin for extended periods of time). If you're wealthy, or you really need something effective, buy newly manufactured green tritium vials instead. This has nothing on tritium.

Brilla bien
Es fluorescente, si le da la luz brilla, pero el brillo intenso dura poco, si sirve para marcar las cosas y encontrarlas rápidamente en la oscuridad
