Excellent sound quality and comfort
The nicest sound I have heard, I bought these as I often play competitive games but also enjoy listening to music. It is a great balance of the two; music sounds great, and sound within games is not compromised whatsoever, and I am never finding that teammates are hearing more than me etc. and it was a noticeable upgrade from any headset I had used before. They are incredibly comfortable. I have worn them for many hours without any discomfort. Three years later and the cups are still in good condition and the build of the actual headphones is solid. My only issue is that the material on the actual headband deteriorated and eventually came off.

Fantastic Beyer Openback Headphones
Rather than write majestic prose at length, I'll stick to a list of comparisons with the DT 1990 Pros, and possibly also the 1770 Pros. The 900 Pro X don't have a small sound stage, but I would call it intimate, and especially so when A/B tested against the 1990 Pros. This isn't a bad thing, and has it's advantages. Do you like your instruments closer or farther away? Imagine is excellent is either case. Bass is more emphasised with the 900 Pro X. It's more present without EQ, though not quite to the level of the 770s or 1770 Pros (I haven't heard how the 700 Pro X compare). This makes the headphone a rather fun listen. Mids and highs aren't as glorious as with the 1990 Pros, but if you didn't know any better you wouldn't miss it, and even if you did know better, the fun of the headphone more than makes up for it. These are the sorts of fine, oh so very fine differences between female vocals sounding more or less natural. The 1990 Pros win technically, but I still find myself lost in the 900 Pro X for hours. The combination of emphasised bass, sound stage and imagine make the 900 Pro X superb for gaming, and even more so than the 1990 Pro (to my ears). And, they're more portable and less dear to one's wallet. For my head comfort is great, and I haven't had any issues with clamping force after extended listening. The included cables are decent, but the ones with the 1990 Pro are better. The earpads are great, but you only get the one pair. They've got the Beyer shape, so you know what you're getting if you've tried any other Beyer headphone. They're semish open back. Noise gets in and out, but that's just a fact of open back headphones. I will say, however, that they look worse in person than they do in pictures. The plastic is well done, there's just something about it that looks odds. The 1990 win the aesthetic contest no problem. And, while the treble peak is muted, this is still a Beyer headphone. Personally, the peak has never bothered me outside of that one song by Sleigh Bells. I like them. I'm going to keep them for gaming and where I need portability, or a bit of fun for a change against the technical grace of the 1990s. Well worth it, in my view.

So that is how good music sounds like...
Incredible experience with these headphones. The DT 900 Pro X studio are just incredibly well-made headphones. Very surprised by the materials, the padding and the comfort. I was looking for well-rounded headphones to connect to my PC and I first tried the Steelseries Arctic Nova Pro Wireless and Non-Wireless versions. I do game on the PC and looking at the reviews the Steelseries were the most well-reviewed ones.... Well, not for me, I decided to go for these Bayerdynamic and thank God I did. It's day and night, the sound is just incredible. The comfort is luxurious and because they are open back my ears are always fresh even after hours of using them. No mic but I don't care, I would much prefer to spend a bit more to get a mic rather than have a poor-quality headphones. Listening to music is just a pleasure. Very balanced with not the best Bass but nothing to worry about. Go for these if you are unsure of what to get if you are looking for a game/music headphones. They can be a bit loud because there is no insulation within the earcups but if it comes down to preferences and needs, if this is a concern get the 700 pro.

Lovely sound
Early days. I am not an audiophile and will be using the headphones for tv and listening to cd’s. No comfort problems though I do not have a big head. Have to be careful with the connection lead at the top of both of the earcups. It is thin and does need better protection. Sound wise I do hear slight sibilance at times with vocals on tv. I will have to try to find the easiest way to improve it …..but if I don’t it is not an issue. Why 5 out of 5? I listened to some old cds. Eagles, Elvis and Ella Fitzgerald. Ella’s voice sounded rich deep and glorious compared to listening to it on other cheap headphones and quite good quality earbuds. The whole track sounded wonderful. I have no comparable headphones to compare them with but I am very happy.

Awful quality do not buy
Might appear like a high quality product but it exactly the opposite the construction is mainly plastic and it extremely flimsy, the earcups have a large amount of ,wobble in the construction and I didn't think much of it at first. After two years of daily use I have had to hack together solutions to make them usable again. within the first year the "replicable headband" had worn down creating leather flakes that got everywhere, after disassembling it I found the head ban was just poorly glued together leather and plastic. This is poorly constructed and almost assuredly aimed to make you buy a new one. After the next year of use the right ear cup snapped internally and surprise surprise the the part that snapped was poorly designed plastic that I have had to superglue back together while I look for replacement earphones. TL;DR - STAY AWAY FROM BEYERDYNAMICS (My audio technica headphones lasted me 8 years for the same price)

I'm very happy with them, use them for gaming and listening to music, with a little EQ the sound is amazing! Very good imaging, separation, detal and soundstage. After little EQ the bass is very nice (for open back headphones) , they are not going to blow your mind with bass, but it's nice, tight, punchy and accurate. They seem very solidly built, not hard to drive straight from pc or laptop, but I still use dac/amp to give them some extra juice. A little stiff from the beginning, but if you stretch them a little few times and they loosen up a bit, they are very comfortable. Come with 2 cables and 3.5 to 6.3 mm adapter and travel bag. They dont offer much isolation but they are open back so its to be expected. Although they block the noise a little more then my other open back headphones (akg k701 ) Overall great headphones, definately worth the price (240 currently) , and to me they sound better than other 2 headphones I have that both cost more. Would recommend !
