Amazing!
This book is just lovely. My son and I enjoy our adventures in this book. The pictures are lovely and the storyline is exciting. I love all the real survival facts, so it's educational as well. The spinner is cute. Once out of it's pocket area in the front page, it can easily come out. So make sure you keep an eye on it, otherwise it can get lost. It's very enjoyable and be read time and time again. Definitely one to get for any child interested in adventuring and reading. The quality of the book is high. Overall I am very pleased with it.

Such a thrilling and exciting adventure game in a book!
This book has been a huge hit with my 8 year old. She loves using the Survival Spinner to find out her fate. There are so many interesting facts and newspaper articles as well as the fictitious adventure story. There are lots of tips and advice for surviving outdoors too. Really brilliant book for older children!

As much a game as a book
This is as much a game as a book. There aren't endless possibilities of adventures, only a few, but it is fun for a kid. With each adventure you get to spin to see which route to take, on one hand that makes it a surprise but on the other it makes more sense to just choose yourself if you want to survive by brainstorming skills. Even though there are 2 or 3 options of what to do next most of the time it still takes you to the same page next or the same page within a couple pages. Every single page there is the option to die and start over, this could really draw it out. Some pages has you spin until you get the option to move forward unless you die fist. So there's not as many paths as you'd think. But depending on the adventure you see completely different pages as you go, just a few. There are also lots of history tidbits thrown in. I enjoyed the survival skill info that was interesting and educational on every page. My 5 year old loved going through this and asks for it but if I try to read all of the Info on every page he dazes out and gives up. If I cut some things out he loves it and stays interested. I think it could be a good thing for a variety of children's ages or a family with children. The book size is pretty large and the cover takes up half the thickness to hold the spinner. It could be a good gift. I recommend.

My Kids Are So Engaged With This Book
The Frozen Mountain: Decide your destiny with a pop-out fortune spinner (Spin to Survive) book is pretty awesome. This book shipped well with minimal packaging. It was not damaged at all. It emitted no weird odors or chemical-like smells. The book is 11.7 x 0.95 x 13.65 inches in size and 64 pages long. It sports a strong sturdy hardcover and between thick and thin matte-like pages. The front features gold foil and there's a spot in the center which you can see the spinner. Note that the spinner is a very important component of the game that resides within the pages. This book takes readers on quite the adventure in which you get to choose your path as well as take risks with the spinner.I got this book for my 10-year-old and he is quite the fan. My five-year-old also likes it too. I'm happy they are learning things like what to not eat and what you can eat if out in the wild, what to do if you get cold, how to treat wounds, how to make a shelter, what to do if you encounter dangerous animals and many more things that deal with cold survival situations.Overall, it is crammed-packed full of information on how to survive while also including true-life survival stories. It is educational, informative, fun, and potentially life-saving! Highly recommended.
