Made in America
It Matters where it's made. This feeder is used with bark butter or zick"s dough or any similar home made suet (or lard) & peanut butter with corn meal, oats & such- blend . It's a simple design & very effective. The birds Love it. It has only two perches at the bottom so when I hang it within a shrub I do my best to position it with branches the birds can use to reach the upper sections. I'm always conscious of the danger posed by greased feathers so I make mix on the drier side even if it is harder to spread. It ain't that hard-a good trowel is a good choice for this. I'll admit it was smaller than I expected but that does make it easier to hang within those shrubs. Where I am we have Coopers & Sharpshinned hawks that will visit every now & then.I understand a hawk has to eat & I can't begrudge them their meal cause they never get greedy. If they get too many of my favorites ( more than 1, or one ) I might have to take down the feeders for a week or so till they move along. Plus they are gorgeous birds who will, if not harassed, sit for a spell & keep an eye on me as I watch them. This is a small business .Their product will last me for years. It took the birds two days to start using it. It is all natural materials. Did I mention the birds like it? A lot? 😁

Squirrels absolutely love eating crunchy peanut butter off this feeder!
The squirrels love to eat crunchy peanut butter off this feeder. My birds prefer the suet feeder over the peanut butter. I have never seen a bird feed on the peanut butter. That may just be because the squirrels quickly monopolize this feeder. They lick every speck of peanut butter off the board in just a couple of hours. Every morning they are looking for this feeder to get their peanut butter fix! I buy a 2 1/2 lb jar of crunchy peanut butter from Walmart for under $3.00 & it will last approximately a month if I only coat one side of the feeder once a day with peanut butter. I was afraid that the squirrels would chew up the wood, but once they lick off all the peanut butter they leave it alone.

now it's their favorite feeder
Took the chickadees a week to try it, but now it's their favorite feeder. I sprinkle chopped raisins, broken peanut pieces, and hulled sunflower. The parents bring their babies to feed them and teach them to feed on their own, and now we have chickadees all day long. I couldn't be happier, they're the cutest widdle birds!

Cool little feeder!
Just cover with peanut butter, and any type of birdseed, and the birds will come! But so will the squirrels! So I leave it out all day, and bring it in before nightfall. When I want it completely cleaned off, I purposely hang it where the squirrels can get to it! Thus far they lick it clean, and never chew the wood! Reasonably priced, and different enough to add to your feeder collection!

Especially favored by bluebirds
Very easy to use, just lather on the peanut butter and hang. Bluebirds love it. Kettle Moraine is a wonderful company. The first perch broke off and they shipped a new one immediately with no charge. This is my second feeder as the first one was stolen by a bear.

Works well; nice price
This stuff can be horribly expensive, so this little plank is a treat (for me and for birds). The perch was kind of hard to hammer in, but now it's very sturdy. It kind of gets in the way of being able to lay it down to spread more suet on it, but I just have to hang that part of it off the edge of the counter. I haven't seen any birds yet use the perch -- only have clingers so far. Nice option.

Rodents Like it Too !
Great feeder; unfortunately the structure allows rodents to feast; all they have to do is scoot along a tree branch and scamper down to the goodies. Wish I had realized this earlier. p.s. The birds really liked it too, but I we stopped using it due to its popularity with non-feathered critters.

Great
I use this for "Bark Butter" Both sides have areas to use. I use only one side because the birds gobble it down. I guess you could say I ration it because of the cost. I'll save the other side for later. Dot the bark butter with raisins or seeds because they like this also.
