Superb kitchen scissors
These are a Which? Best Buy, and deservedly so. They are extremely sharp, and very comfy to hold. They are the first pair I've ever had that make trimming the fat off bacon relatively easy, and I'm sure they could spatchcock a chicken, chop herbs or go through a bit of dowling (some of Which's tests) without problem.Personally, they would lose one star for having too many features that actually become a bit of a nuisance: they can apparently crush garlic, descale fish etc too... but those extra bumps, grooves and cut-out shapes also snag on washing-up sponge pads and tea towels very effectively, no matter how careful you are. This makes cleaning them after (say) trimming bacon or spatchcocking a chicken unnecessarily tricky -- you can't just swipe them with a sudsy sponge, you'll need to break out a brush instead (or spend time picking bits of scrubby-sponge off them). But it would be unfair to mark them down for that -- these features are probably useful to somebody, just not me! So if you want a pair of kitchen scissors just for, like, cutting things, these might be a bit OTT. But as they are SO good at the cutting-things job, I still strongly recommend them. And if you do ever need to descale a fish...

IMPRESSIVE (OR BAD DEPENDANT ON WHAT IS DELIVERED)
Having taken up quilting I was well stocked with fabric when we went into lockdown last year. As a result I made family and friends a supply of face masks and in thanks was gifted a pair of these Spear and Jackson scissors. I thought I had sharp scissors before having specifically purchased dressmaking scissors but these were a revelation and cut through fabric with ease and precision. Even multiple layers of fabric were snipped with ease and they definitely lived up to their name of being razorsharp.Having determined that they were an accessory I could not do without I purchased a second pair in January this year, removed them from the packaging and put them into my sewing box so that I had a nice new pair for starting my next major project (I assumed that having used the first pair for cutting out hundreds of face masks that they would eventually loose the sharp edge). You cannot imagine my disappointment today when I took the new scissors out to find their cutting ability bears no resemblance to the original pair. Whilst they do cut fabric better than really cheap scissors they do not have the razor sharp blades that the first pair still have even after months and months of serious use. I have compared the two pairs of scissors and cannot discern any difference in manufacture so do not think they have been updated so do not know why there is such a difference.I feel the original gifted scissors are definitely worthy of a 5 star rating but as a word of caution I would suggest that you try the scissors as soon as they arrive to ensure you are happy with their sharpness before throwing away the packaging.

Good while new
These are a good all round pair of scissors and they work very well now while they are new. They are well designed and comfortable. They are not flimsy but they do not seem very solid either and I do not think they will last very long. There are sharpened teeth on the outside of one of the blades, if you know wat to use this for it might be very handy but it is just a nuisance to me.
