A neat and reliable sensor that works with the FRITZ!Smart Gateway
The Philips Hue Motion sensor (indoors) came installed with firmware version: 2.53.6. It was paired with a FRITZ!Smart Gateway with OS 08.26. Pairing was successful. With the FRITZ!Smart Gateway the motion detection, temperature measurement, and brightness (lux) measurement are supported. The sensor cannot be customised by the Gateway nor will be Gateway uses any specialist features of the sensor. It is neat and reliable. It has a magnetic back for mounting on suitable metallic surfaces. It works with two AAA batteries. I am pleased with the purchase.

Great piece of equipment once you manage to register with the Hub Pro.
The Outdoor Hue Sensor works very well, with great coverage and reliability. Integration with my existing Hue lighting was also super easy via the app. With both sensors I purchased, it was very difficult to register them with the Hub; even the support team gave up and offered a refund. Eventually, both sensors registered, but only after many, many frustrating attempts. I strongly recommend doing a full reset (long button press and green LED flash) if you're struggling.

Works really well
Works really well and is easy to set up. The motion detection is reliable, and the magnetic mount makes adjusting the angle super convenient. Battery life is great too. It’s a bit pricey, but overall a solid and dependable outdoor sensor.

Excellent Product
Excellent indoor sensor for the smart home. We run this on Home Assistant through Zigbee2MQTT using a SMLIGT SLZB-06 coordinator without any issues. The motion detection is accurate and instant, along with the lux sensor which is great for creating dynamic lighting automations that don't simply rely on sunset or fixed times. There is also a temperature sensor within this device, which is great, but it isn't the most accurate. It is usually 1 or 2 degrees out in my experience, but I am not going to put it down for this, as it isn't advertised as a temperature sensor and therefore I don't expect it to behave like one. Don't forget that in terms of the Zigbee network, this is an end device. End devices must be placed near the coordinator or a Zigbee router that can help it reach the coordinator. If you are experiencing connection issues it is quite likely that your Zigbee mesh is poorly designed, and needs more routers to strengthen the mesh. Routers are usually wired Zigbee devices that run on mains power and require a neutral. Overall, this is a high quality product that I would recommend to anyone interested in indoor motion detection.

Works perfectly.
These work great. So long as you can figure out the Hue app as it's not very user friendly. The motion sensor is active and responsive so no issues with the device itself.

Very sensitive, good range, good battery life
I put one of these up next to my front door so that I can be alerted to people coming up to the house as I work on the top floor. I don't use the Hue Hub other than the Hue app, I use a "Zigbee stick" and Home Assistant running on a Raspberry Pi. Start by installing batteries and adding the device in the Phillips Hue app (or in my case, my Home Assistant Zigbee network). Range is good, the nearst Zigbee routing device is 20 feet away behind an external wall with wood cladding and foil-backed insulation, Zigbee gets through this where WiFi really doesn't. It's very easy to mount as the mount is separate from the motion detector. You've a choice of two mounts; one for on a flat wall, and one for on a corner. Once the mount is up you can just slide the motion detector onto it and tighten the retaining screw. Job done. The motion sensor is very sensitive and has excellent range. If you find it too sensitive to motion beyond what you want the simplest thing to do is to mask off the relevant areas of the sensor with black electrical tape, which worked well for me. My only minor issue with this is that the included temperature sensor is rendered useless by the housing. Which is black plastic, and heats up in direct sunlight even in the winter. So right now it is 7C outside and the sensor is telling me 18.5C. Out of direct sunlight it is absolutely fine. This comes with Alkaline batteries pre-installed and they last well. My sensor has been up for 9 months and the battery is still reporting 100% - which isn't true but it means the voltage hasn't started to drop yet, so there's more life left yet. Probably a whole year.
