I Want to Be a Firefighter

My grandson loves this book. Love that it shows really people not cartoon characters. It also shows male and female firefighters and stresses the importance of teamwork! It frequently requests it at night!

My 2yo's favorite book at the moment. Lots of real photos that encourage conversation. Not a ton of words either and easy to get through after a long day. I am going to get a few more books from this series.

Purchased this book for each child in my preschool class. The book is very cute and easy to read. Definitely recommend for your little one who is interested in firefighting.

I bought this book for my four-year-old grandson for Christmas. Ironically, the day I submitted my order for it, I was at his house in the evening, and he greeted me with, "Grandma, I want to be a Firefighter." I knew then I had made a good choice and actually he dearly loves the book. So much, in fact, that he kept it in bed with him each night after having it read to him. He loves the story of the different firefighter experiences and the pictures are so realistic to him. Great book even if the child doesn't want to be a firefighter, one can learn a lot of what they do.

The best thing about this firefighting book is that it uses photos intead of illustrations. It also had a female firefighter in it, which piqued my daughter's intrest, not only my son for whom I bought the book. It doesn't go into great detail about anything, but it does point out several responsibilities firefighters have. The kids liked it and so did my firefighter husband.

Pictures and writing are spot on. Not too much for young readers. Holds their interest and educates.

Our 6yr old grandson loves it. Living on property grazing cows, he took special note of the cowboy tending to the calf. At every reading, we’re reminded that the book is of “real pictures”, rather than drawings. A short read also makes it a hit with parents/grands ushering the kids off to bed.

Great book for learning about real firefighters and the job as well as fire safety. Large clear print with real photos. Kids love it! Fit perfectly for our firefighter birthday party!
