Quantity Surveyor's Pocket Book (Routledge Pocket Books)

This is a great reference book to have at hand. Spells out the role and terms used in Quantity Surveying in easy to understand sections. Very useful

I am training as a Quantity Surveyor, but I used to work in Book Publishing for many years and specialised in digital print. This is a book which Routledge has chosen to print and fulfil by Amazon Print on Demand. In my copy, the pages have been scaled far too small, resulting in an approximate size 8 font, compared to a size 10 in the third edition, which was printed conventionally. This means a barely readable size 7 font in crucial measurement tables. Thus a bottom margin of around 4 cm and a top margin of 3 has resulted. I will request a new copy in the hope that the mistake in the scaling of the page does not reoccur in that batch.

The book is printed in a pocket book format, and is very interesting, articulated and detailed. But the margins are too large (3cm up - 3,6cm down - 2,2 cm L R), and as a result the font is too small, making it difficult to read. They could decrease the margins and increase the font, making it easy to read.
