No Frills, Get 'er Done Rings
While I know alot of people have to protect "muh bore axis", I always prefer higher rings. They eliminate the need for 20 MOA rails, ensure clearance of your objective lens + whatever lens cap you prefer to use, and they line up better with my cheek weld, while lower rings often leave my squishing my face hard against the stock. These Vortex rings are a cheap, tough option for any scope mount with picatinny or 1913 style rails. 1913 scope mounts are often cheaper than dove tail, so even if your gun doesn't have a rail already attached, this option will still be cheaper overall. 1913s stay secured well, and these just need a simple flat head screw driver to apply. The screws for the scope rings themselves are torx and a wrench is included, although any self respecting gun owner should have a good set of torx and allen wrenches. I have these holding my Nikon Buckmark to my Savage 110 .308 and everything holds up just fine. Can't ask for more.

Four stars just because I like the rings of the older times which were heavier ...
High mount is way more friendly than just clearing a barrel. Too many shooters buy mounts too low to get a shot from angles and positions other than a bench. What use is a scope mount that doesn't allow a shooter to get proper eye relief and cheek weld. I changed out my other rings and now it doesn't matter what I wear in cold weather. I can get down on the scope with ease. Unless you are a rooftop stationary sniper rings should be mounted for practical use. As for the quality this is a solid product for todays weight to mass manufacturing. Vortex is a tremendous company with the ultimate customer support and warranties. Four stars just because I like the rings of the older times which were heavier and rock solid metals. Make sure you use a torc screwdriver during the mounting so you do not bend the bolts or damage the threads. A bent bolt will not allow the crosshairs to be leveled properly. Buy this product with confidence. Vortex is the best scope company you will ever deal with.

Good rings but I screwed up!!
Having professionally installed hundreds of scopes in previous jobs, I knew better than to use high mount rings. One of the top basic scope-mounting rules is to install the scope AS CLOSE TO THE BARREL as possible. My fault for reading the reviews and abandoning my experience! I should have taken out pencil, paper and calculator to accurately manipulate the specs of the rail, rings and the overall scope diameter to get the proper rings. There is no complaint about the product and I will keep them on the parts shelf for possible future use. Vortex is a good brand and the overall process of ordering was fine.

Vortex rings are a very good product
Item was ordered as new and clearly a used item was sent (see picture). Additionally, the item was not a Vortex product and was missing parts. My best guess is someone ordered the Vortex product, then stuffed some old cheap rings into the package and sent it back for a refund. Exceptionally poor quality control by sender. Another set of rings were ordered and they arrived new with Vortex rings in packaging. These are very good rings for lower caliber rifles. For anything above a .223 I would bump up the Vortex's next level rings. One screw on each side of ring may not provide enough friction on scope to prevent it from shifting when firing larger calibers.

Simple and Good quality.
Works as intended. Sturdy T6 aluminum. Easy installation and mounting. I would like to add that these rings runs single fasteners on all areas I used a tiny bit of blue lock tite on the thread ends as an added security. I used them on my B114 to mount a crossfire II 56mm objective. Scope to barrel gave acceptable clearance.
