The box came taped so I knew it wasn’t a returned item that got cycled back out to me. The spoon is small but it’s perfect for scooping out the rice balls. It’s easy to clean and works well. My five year old was able to make rice balls on his own with this tool. I didn’t make super sticky rice and still made cute little rice balls. It’s not a thick plastic so I wouldn’t be rough with it but it doesn’t much effort at all to make the balls

I’m not sure why this product has such bad reviews. This works PERFECTLY and does what it’s supposed to do. Only fill one side of the mold to where it’s leveled. Do NOT overpack the rice. Do not push down on the rice when filling the mold. It also makes the process easier if your rice is sticky. If it’s not sticky then put a little bit of water in a bowl with rice and cover it when reheating in the microwave. This will steam it and help it stick together. This has made it so much easier for my almost 2 year old toddler to eat rice without needing help.

Upon opening, the product was so cheap and flimsy. I couldn’t even close it due to the plastic in the top made poorly. It also look like there was black dirt in it, just a horrible product all together. I will be retuning it.

You have to keep it closed by pressing with both hands so it’s a bit inconvenient and not very well made.

After making the rice balls, I roll them around in a mixture of seaweed, roasted soy bean powder, and sesame seeds so they’re not sticky. It makes rice balls that are a great size for infants. I have twins so it’s also nice that I can make multiple rice balls so quickly! Such a handy design and so easy and quick!

We bought this because I saw a video of someone making truffles with it. After the video I immediately bought this baller. It worked very good for the truffles but I got tired. It worked even better for the rice! My husband even loved doing it.

This makes the most perfect little rice balls ever. Definitely recommend it if you don’t wanna get your hands sticky. It comes with a cute little rice spatula.
