the back of basket is too wide. it fits if I stuff it hard. needs to be narrower about 1/3 inch
i guess I thought it would slide right in. Wrong.

Will rust out within 3 years of normal service
This product appears to be an exact replacement for the OEM dishwasher lower shelf. The issue we have is how quickly some tines rusted, some of which then broke off as you can see in the picture.During each wash some of the rust would wind up on our white dishes requiring us to hand wash them to remove the rust stains.I understand normal wear and tear, but it seems these racks are not adequately coated to last more than a few years of normal household usage.

Expensive
I replaced the upper and lower rack in 2018Rust on lower rack is so bad I came looking to replace it again. I forgot how expensive it was. For now I am using rerack paint on rubber coating until I can afford new dishwasher. Preferably with a stainless steel or plastic rack. My dishes have rusty scratches on them from tines. Upper rack is discontinued but the price of both is about the cost of a new dishwasher.

Dishwasher Looks Almost New with Replacement Racks
A replacement rack is such a wonderful way to return the dishwasher to an almost like-new appearance. I have replaced my lower rack twice in the past 10 years and upper rack once. The silverware basket once also. This arrived in a GE branded box. It has a slightly different configuration of the tines. Not a problem, just different. I prefer GE replacement parts because I know they will fit properly. My only complaint is the huge increase in prices over previous replacement rack purchased about 4 or 5 years ago. Why can't companies make a product that will withstand daily use without rusting? Every brand ever owned...rusted within a few years. Hence replacement parts required.

Different from factory tray.
Installation is easy. This does differ from the original tray. The spacing of the upright guides to hold dishes upright is different and this does not have the uprights that fold down to allow a large item to be put on the tray.
