Delectable Mountains Quilt Paperback – October 1, 2001

I ordered this book a view weeks ago and , although I have not actually used it for making a quilt, I have read through it. I find it to be a very good instructional book. It gives the historic information of the quilt, plus it has very good instructions including fabric needed. It also gives several ways to use the the Delectable Quilt pattern. I do like how measurements and fabric materials are given beginning with the Lap quilt up to king size. I love this option. When making fabric purchase I don't have to worry about either not purchasing enough fabric or buying too much fabric. The pictures and diagrams are in beautiful color and you can thumb through the book and look at the colorful pictures of the different quilt samples. I you have a little trouble following the unique and excellent instructions, you can always go to either quiltinaday.com and look at the videos that shows Eleanor Burns putting the quilt top together. You will get really tickled at her fun instruction This quilt can be found in the Rainbow Floral Series. The video is in 3 parts, 1 hour 30 minutes. When looking at them, you don't have to worry about the commercials like if you recorded them on the DVR (like I did). I saw the video first and decided that I would like to have the specific instructions. So get this book, and Go Quilt!

Another nice Elinor Burns book. It comes with a handy ruler to make cutting easier and I enjoyed the various samples by other people. I thought it was a worthwhile purchase.

I seen Eleanor make this one and felt it was one I wanted to make. I am very happy with it and plan to make several quilts with this pattern. was over joyed to find it on her web sight. The book is clear in its instruction and broke down so that even I can do it. I love watching Eleanor She makes making the quilts look easy and shows me I can make them as well.

Just what I was looking for . well written and easy to follow instructions.

I have used other books in the Quilt in a Day series and I am not surprised to once again be very pleased with an Eleanor Burns book. The instructions are clear, illustrations are easy to follow, and examples are attractive. This is one of her older books but the method is up-to-date.

I needed the pattern to make these quilts. And as you can see - it worked out fantastic.

As with all of Eleanor Burn's books the instuctions are easy to follow and presented in a logical step by step format. Her books are great for both the visual learner- with great pictures and diagrams as well as those who learn by the written instructions. Eleanor has never disappointed me- - Ive taught several people to quilt by using her books as starting points.Sue Banholzer
