I had originally received some defective bottles. When the seller learned, they went above and beyond to rectify. They sent me replacement bottles which are great. The flip tops hold strong enough for secondary fermentation, and the glass is well made and sturdy.

Great size great quality

I got these bottles for fermenting my own ginger beer at home. The bottles arrived all in one piece, no chips or cracks in the glass, which is always a fear of mine when buying glass online. The swing lock mechanism has very little slop in it so it is easy to use and doesn't feel weak of flimsy. The seal is great, no problems with leaks at all. They even provide extra rubber grommets if any get damaged or worn out. They looks great and have worked well for me so far and definitely have a durable feel to them. As for cleaning, the mouth is narrower than the body, you know, like a bottle. So they aren't the easiest to clean but that's at no fault of the product. Using the right tools or methods make cleaning a breeze, just don't expect to be able to get your hand in there. If I start making bigger batches or more things, I will definitely be getting more of these specific bottles.

These are great bottles. I will definitely order lots more. Only problem was shipping. Though the bottles are bubble wrapped and boxed in sets of six, the box that they were in was handled so poorly that 3 of my 18 bottler were shattered, and one of my bags of cleaner was ruptured.

I originally bought these to make and store my own limoncello, and they work great for that use. However, it was when I began using them to freeze milk that they truly impressed me. I don’t drink a lot of milk but like to have it fresh when I do. It’s difficult to keep a carton of milk on hand, because it goes bad faster than I can even come close to finishing it. I started freezing milk in these 16 oz. bottles for it to last longer, and I figured that if what’s in the fridge goes bad, it’s only a portion of the carton. This should not have been a concern! The seal on these is so excellent that I couldn’t tell you how long it takes for the milk to go bad. The bottle I have in there now has been in the fridge for almost three weeks and does not even remotely taste or smell sour. I mean it is as fresh as the day I bought it! To freeze the milk, I make sure not to fill them entirely (since liquids expand when they freeze), and I only place the tops on without locking them in place. Once they are frozen, I go back and lock the lids. When I am almost out of what’s in the fridge, I simply move a bottle from the freezer to the fridge and let it melt there. I find it takes about twelve hours to melt properly, so I move it when preparing dinner if I want it in my tea the next morning.

Update: The seller reached out to me with a sincere apology and promptly sent a replacement. This batch had no issues whatsoever, and I’m very pleased with both the product and the excellent customer service I received. These bottles have been perfect for my homemade coffee syrups. I’ll definitely be purchasing again and using them as gifts! Old Review: The bottles arrived intact however when I pulled them out they were all cloudy and sticky. The inside of the bottles had some condensation in them as well. Upon further investigation the bottles smelled like vinegar. I had to soak them in soap and water to get the film off. Really unhappy about it as the film got on my hands and I’m not entirely sure what it is…

Good bottles, they did not have an air tight seal with the rubber rings that came installed on the bottles, but once I replaced the seals with the others ones the bottles came with they worked great.

I bought these bottles specifically for fermenting home made kombucha and they are perfect. The glass is strong and the rubber caps seal tight and do not allow any carbonation to escape. Just what I needed.
