Spa Fun (American Girl Library) Spiral-bound – September 1, 2009

Love this fun little book! I bought it used in good condition (seemed better than good to me) and we will be using it for a birthday party spa theme and a girls activity for 8-9 yr olds and their moms! Have cute and fun ideas girls can do all on their own. Great tips for easy to make masks, face scrubs, how the girls can relax and recharge...super cute book! We are new to the AMerican Girls books, but this makes 2/2 of their books we love! We also have A Smart Girls guide to self esteem (I hope that is the accurate title).

Great activities to do for a relaxing evening of fun. Klutz also makes a spa book, which is my personal favorite, but this one does a great job as well. You can never have too many spa idea!

I'm not only the mother of a ten-year-old, but I'm a middle school reading teacher. I can tell you that these American Girl nonfiction books are fantastic to increase your kid's reading score. My ten-year-old daughter is constantly wanting to make stuff using the recipes in this Spa Fun book. So beware: messes will follow the purchase of this book.She'll absolutely love it though. There are a few "recipes" you can make at home for a spa day and some ideas about pampering yourself such as practicing yoga and taking a bubble bath. I think this book is better geared for girls ages 8-10 than for the preteen. The ideas and recipes are pretty basic.

My daughter is planning a spa party for her 7th birthday. This book was great to help focus her ideas and give us some new fun things to try. She read the whole thing on her own in a day, she really enjoyed it.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter, and she loves it. She already made some kind of foot scrub, and it worked, although she made a mess, which I expected.

Bought this book for my granddaughter's 6th "Spa Day" Birthday Party as favors for six of her friends. This book has a lot of great ideas and fun things for spa day pampering. Terrific read for preteen girls. I enjoyed reading it myself.

My daughter received this book for Christmas. It gives many great ideas for spa day pampering! Part of the fun will be making the products we'll use - moisturizer, face masks, hand and foot soaks, etc. My daughter and I look forward to having girls night, when we'll use many of these fun ideas.

Niece loved this gift, has some great easy ideas inside which are easy to follow. Made her feel very grown up.
