A very good hub that works perfectly!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This works like a champ. I only use 2 of the outputs, but it just works always. One outlet goes to a 3-monitor dock and the other goes to a four-drive m.2 (4TB each drive) RAID box. Truly plug and play.

Works with Apple Thunderbolt Display and M1 Macbook Air

This is a nifty little dock, but I'm probably using it a bit differently than intended. I achieved my goal of connecting my M1 Macbook Air to my older Apple Thunderbolt display using ONE CABLE that both charges my laptop and outputs to the external display. I love how clean the setup is.Basically its connected like this: M1 Macbook AIr --> Thunderbolt 4 cable --> Pluggable Thunderbolt Dock --> Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter --> Apple Thunderbolt Display. With some cable management and zip ties, the desk looks super clean, and now I have a single cable going to my laptop that activates the external display (and everything connected to it) and also charges the laptop. Great product and much more affordable than other options out there.

Fantastic Thunderbolt 4 hub, works great with 2 displays and another hub

I wanted a fast Thunderbolt 4 hub that allowed for two USB-C displays and other USB-A/C ports. But I didn't want to spend over $100 for one. Most of the Thunderbolt 4 hubs are indeed much more than this one. Since I had other hubs already that I really didn't need Thunderbolt 4 on for additional USB-A ports, I decided to get this Plugable hub and plug my two mini monitors into it and one of my other USB 3.2 hubs into the remaining USB-C port. Everything works flawlessly, and I didn't have to break the bank. This is a well-made aluminum hub with its own power supply. It solved my problems well.

Works with Apple Silicon Macbooks

Works as expected with a 2021 Macbook Pro m1Pro chip. No issues so far. A little warm on the unit's enclosure, but at least it's a metal enclosure. I have the following connected directly and thru it:- Two 32" 4K monitors @ 60hz - 1 via USB C / USB C to Monitor. 2nd USB-C to HDMI to Monitor via included adaptor.- 60 watts power being supplied to the Macbook Pro- USB C to USB Hub device- 2.5gb ethernet port- two external USB drives- USB Scanner- USB External Camera

True thunderbolt 4 dock

True thunderbolt dock, with DDC, so you can control the volume and brightness of the external monitor. The attached usb-c to HDMI cable is very useful, enable me to connect 1 extra monitor for my m1 pro mac, no software needed.

Must have a defective unit or please, support, correct me

I really want to like this hub because it is exactly what I needed in port selection: a true thunderbolt 4 hub that breaks out thunderbolt with no extra random ports. From here I planned to plug in a 4k 60hz monitor using a mini-DP to USB-C cable in one port and that works great. The second port was going to be used to connect a USB/ethernet hub. Long story short I tested a webcam (CamLink 4k) and an Ethernet connection on TWO different hubs connected to one on the thunderbolt ports on this Plugable unit and each time the Ethernet connection would disconnect after a few seconds and refuse to come back. And using Zoom to check the webcam, it would work for about a second and then freeze. That was testing it twice- on two separate USB-C hubs. Now if I plug either of those hubs into my 2020 M1 Mac Pro directly, the internet and webcam work fine.My understanding was this hub was supposed to break out 3 ports that essentially have the same functionality as the host thunderbolt port it plugged into. But clearly something is wrong when a TB4 port can't interface with USB-C hubs. I really was hoping I was doing something wrong but how hard can it be to use something like this? It should be plug and play. I had used this webcam and access point for months with no problem and then they failed once I tried to use them with this new item.If I decide to replace this with the same item I will report back to see if it was just a fluke or not. I expect it is because I see many positive reviews here...
