I'm not sure why a previous reviewer would have given this product 1 star. Maybe it's a fake review? I just received this item a few days ago and couldn't be happier.It arrives packed in a sturdy, flat box with every piece carefully wrapped. It comes with instructions and a small bag of screws. You will need a small Philips screwdriver (12 screws) and a large Allen wrench (for only one screw.) Assembly is not difficult and I was able to a accomplish it with my extremely limited tool skills :-).The pieces are quite solid, made of glossy, painted wood. Everything stays together well, with no loose parts. The play bakery items are made of thick, squishy, painted foam, and detail is beautiful!The cash register is wooden, and has a slide out drawer. I was pleased to find that the drawer will not easily fall out due to it being very long.I had some trepidation about buying this item for my daughter (who is crazy about 18" doll accoutrements) due to the fact that I've never tried this brand and at the time I bought it there were no reviews. This is why I felt it was important for me to write this review. Please do not hesitate to buy this. We have several furniture items from the My Life As doll collection from Walmart, and they are made of thin plastic while still having the same price point as these quality pieces. I will be purchasing all my daughter's doll items from this company from now on.

I bought this for my granddaughters 8th birthday. She was in love with it. It's very sturdy, very colorful. Super easy to assemble. The squishy desserts it comes with were also a big hit. Worth the cost.

This stand is very cute and exactly as pictured. My daughter loves it! However, the little cakes it comes with have the worse smell ever. I am not kidding when I say that the cherries (balls) on top smell like BO (sweat!) We were searching for the awful smell in my daughter's room for days until we found the source. So, if you get this, be sure to check the bakery goods before using them.

I am really impressed with this piece. Since it arrived it has been one of the favorite play pieces. First, it was very easy to assemble. My daughter helped, and could probably have done it herself except for the need for a little pressure applied when screwing in the screws. It is very sturdy, and actually made of WOOD! Not particle board, but wood. I have been so disappointed in all the plastic used in most of the AG products now that used to be made of wood and metal. This is the real deal. And the super exciting part is....THE FOOD SMELLS REAL! That's right. It's scented. I don't know if I missed it in the description or if they didn't mention it, but that was just the icing on the cake, as it were :)My daughter absolutely loves it and the vegetable stand. Both are lovely pieces. Great job Emily Rose for making a superb product. I wish they had food you could buy individually. We need more cake for all the dolls LOL!

Yes it’s wood and painted nicely but half of the threads don’t thread in and the cake pieces are already cracking. I had to super glue the legs because none of them would thread in to each other.

It is easy to assemble. Do not over tighten the screws. It is sturdy. It is large. It is a little larger than I anticipated. The plates or platters for the food are huge. The play food is squishy play food. It’s not nice. I rather it was plastic like our generation or American girl play food. The play food is over sized for 18 inch doll. It reminds of food in a pretend play set for kids not for dolls. That is why I am giving it a 3 stars. I just feel overall all it is not a great scale for 18 inch dolls. The quality however is superior to products compared to others.

The Emily Rose 18 Inch Doll Bakery Stand is adorable and my granddaughters just loved it. They so enjoy pretending and this one fulfilled their fantasy of being bakers of delicious cakes, cupcakes and cookies.I definitely will purchase more Emily Rose items for our granddaughters in the future. Thank you Emily Rose!PS We did have one item cracked on arrival and the reorder process was very easy and uncomplicated and when the replacement arrive 5 days later!!! Emily had included a pair of adorable cloth shoes for our granddaughter's Doll. How thoughtful was that!!

Easy to build and my daughter loves it. I have purchased her some other items from this same brand and so far they are all easy to assemble and durable, for the price I can’t complain :)
