CasaCam VC1000 Add-on Camera for Wireless Security Camera System VS1001/VS1002 (add-on Camera)

Bought this system for home security.Product came well packaged with easy to follow directions for installation. Images were sharp and well defined. Camera range for video and reception are excellent,Gives us peace of mind, Highly recommend.

I really like this product. I looked at several surveillance systems on Amazon, and was drawn to CasaCam because it had all of the bells and whistles that I wanted. For starters, it is wireless. However, it is much more than that. The system is HD video and has two-way audio. I can speak through the camera from either the monitor that comes with the system, or through my phone via the CasaCam app. I really like this feature as I will get notifications of motion near my front door. I find a surveillance system better than a doorbell camera because I can see much more. Although the system is not cloud based, it allows you to install a memory card inside the monitor. So, you can have as much storage as you want. I have a 32 bit card in there now, and I find this to be plenty of storage. What really sold me on this camera system is the fact that the cameras have motion activated spotlights. So, when I go outside at night, my camera not only records me, but also shines a light on me. In addition, the system allows you to set timers on the lights so they go on and off at certain times. This is really useful when I am away from home at night.Overall, this is a great camera system with tons of features. You can't go wrong!!

My camera stopped working for some reason. When I checked it out, it was the transformer plug. I emailed CasaCam and they answered me. I explained what had happened and he told me it was the plug. Also let me know that they sell the plug because I couldn't find it on Amazon. I have emailed them for other questions on the cameras and they have answered every time with a return email. Great response & problem solving!

Just what I was looking for. Initially had a problem finding correct app for iOS. Instructions for setup just say may be different instructions for iOS. That was not helpful!! I did a search since first app downloaded from App Store did not work on iPhone or iPad. Once I downloaded correct app it found the camera and receiver by WiFi. Next I had a problem connecting to internet. The receiver has password 000000, but the app said it was not secure and insisted I change it. Once that was done could observe cameras on iOS devices. Next I couldn’t understand why I would get an alert for events but could not view them. I realized that the pedestrian on screen was not red, which means it is on. Next none of the events was saved on supplied card so I put one of my cards in and that fixed that. It is working well now. The audio recorded is very good. I especially like that I can converse with people through the camera. The fact that a light is affixed to camera is so crucial because nighttime video without ample light is just some gray or dark shadow looking image. Plus I’m pretty sure once that light pops on no criminal is going to hang around. I purchased two extra cameras to cover my whole front. Thus far pretty pleased with security cam. Update 3/20/19, one of my camera sensors stuck on record. I contacted the company and inquired if I could get a replacement. The next day they emailed that a replacement would be shipped out!! Now that is customer service!!

The customer support is phenomenal. They are insanely quick to respond and they are willing to resolve any issues that you may have, anyway that they can. The dvr and camera's are easy to install and setup. I love how I can get alerts on my phone and be able watch recordings and live feed from my phone. I never have to worry about leaving my house unintended now.
