Currently, I use the blue lever on my throttle quadrant for trim. I highly recommend these! My only suggestion to buyers is to place these on something where it won't slide easily - it'll make flying easier. It comes with velcro strips to help with that, so plan accordingly. You can add as many velcro strips as you'd like if you go to a crafts store. I tried using the velcro with older carpet and it didn't work, but I plan to fasten the velcro system to some plywood next. My other suggestion is to buy a cheap pair of clean shoes meant just for these pedals ($7 at Walmart on clearance for shoes). The reason is that, if you're training with these, well, you'll never be flying in socks in the real world! It's good to train in shoes like the real thing. My only (joke) complaint is that I'm a 6-foot tall giant man with size 14 feet, so my toes stick way off the end of the pedals, but I'm kind of used to that now - that's how it is when I drive my car too. I use them with X-Plane on OS X 10.11 **Q: How pedally are these pedals?** A: This is my first set of rudder pedals. I have not used real airplane pedals, so have nothing to compare to. They work fine for me. I bought the full bundle which included the yoke, the throttle quadrant, and the pedals for $369. I thought that was a fair price. **Q: Can this be used for racing sims also?** A: I wouldn't recommend it for racing (where one pedal is gas and one is brakes), as the pedals move in an inverse direction to each other when pressure is applied. Nothing to do about the brakes?** A: Yes, these have differential braking with the toe brakes. It’s more of a “sliding” left/right motion. Toe brakes work great, there is a tension knob for adjustments. I highly suggest using either the included Velcro strips or some more heavy duty Velcro to keep it from moving.
