A: Not sure but I'm on second use with no deterioration in taste.

**Q: Is the Barrel available without a shellac finish?**
A: Yes, you can message us and let us know that you prefer an unfinished, natural wood barrel. We stock both

**Q: I did not recieve instructions woth my barrel. Is there someplace i can get them online?**
A: Please message us so that we have your order number and we will send you the intstructions in pdf format.

**Q: One of the barrels says it's 5l or 1 gallon. but a gallon is 3.78 l. so, which size is it?**
A: Barrels are not precise in size because each piece of wood (each stave) is different in curve and thickness, and therefore each barrel can have size/capacity variation. It is a 5L barrel, but it will not hold exactly 5L or exactly 1 gallon.
