Quick!
Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who is an avid fisherman. He says it works amazing and is very impressed with it. He says it cuts his time in half when filleting his fish out.

Fish fillet slayer!
This knife is amazing! Portable and not too bulky, cutting trout like butter!

Works well
Work great filleting fish, a whole lot easier than a regular fillet knife. Makes a tighter cut when removing skin side. Handle seem a bit thick and trigger pull is a little more stiff but still a good knife for the money.

Old-Timer: Best-in-Class Cordless Filet/Carving Knife
The media could not be loaded. This Old-Timer brand cordless knife is replacing a similar knife by Rapala. The selling point on the Old-Timer was the blade release mechanism. On the Rapala, buttons on each side of the knife body had to be pressed simultaneously to release the blades. Over time, these buttons wore out, making the blades extremely difficult to release. On the Old-Timer, a single release button is located on the top of the knife. The feel of this mechanism is superior, leaving the impression of a stronger and more durable release mechanism. Both knifes are similar in size, weight, and grip. The Old-Timer knife has a soft purr sound, like any other electric or cordless knife. While there are less expensive cordless knives on the market, I expect they are just that - less expensive. They appear to be built cheaply, not seeming to compare to the solid and durable feel of the Old-Timer. The Old-Timer and Rapala are comparable, but the Old-Timer was $30 less, feels better, and has a superior release mechanism. I recommend the Old-Timer as a Best-in-Class filet and carving knife.

Worked fine - for ONE day
Haven't yet had the chance to contact manufacturer support, so this unit might be an anomaly. Brought it to Alaska; filleted six salmon the first day; worked fine. Next day it wouldn't turn on. The trigger seemed stuck, so I figured I'd open it up and see if I could fix it. (I'm on a boat in Alaska.). Insides corroded due to leaking battery - unfixable. Surely this MUST be designed to get wet. Did I just get one with a bad seal or a faulty battery?

Great fillet knife
Over the last three weeks i have filleted close to 50 one to three lb fish without a recharge and the knifeand it still does not need a chargeThe blades are sharp and most important, flexible, i fillet fish over the rib bones not through themSo a flexible blade is a must my friend has the same knife and he fillets through the rib bones with no problem, i have not used the more expensive cordless knives but have watched people use them, and i think this knife fillet as well, although the battery is not interchangeable as in the the more expensive knives, but not sure that is needed consideringThe Amp hours i am getting from the battery in this knife
