Faithful but could be a let down
Overall the accuracy is good, one can forgive the swap from gold to yellow to try and emphasise the comic accuracy of it ( a switch that i seem to like more and more) and the knives are a very fun touch, but I do have some gripes. First of all some of the articulation is quite limited like the elbows and knees which are very stiff and the pins really feel like they’ll snap if too much pressure is added, which can limit pose ability. Second the printed scales on it are not given the effect desired making it look more like fishnets than scales. It is disappointing when we have great figures like ultimate captain america who have sculpted scales on there uniform. Due to colour blending as well the black lines make the yellow look different to the rest of the figures when it isn’t in reality.

Kids will love it.
My son is very happy with his character. Looks good and quick delivery.

Good head sculpts with good (digital) paint application. Otherwise basic.
The 'retro' packaging always looks very nice, though I'm an 'opener', so not of huge significance.Got this at a discount, and very happy with it at that, to be honest. Had I paid full price, it'd probably feel pretty underwhelming.Fairly basic, but with two good head sculpts. Possibly both erring on the older side, with very distinct, hard features; but perfectly good with my preference being the maniacally smiling one, befitting his mischief. Both are impeccably deco'd via the new standard of digital paint application. As a 'retro' figure, his colour application is designed to match the pages of an older comic, meaning the :gold' of his costume is a gaudy yellow. I quite like this for the older/classic/early appearance figures, even though it's obviously not naturalistic.I don't like painted 'scale'/mail, though. Just always looks cheap. So, even though it's applied accurately enough here, it's disappointing; and would feel especially so at full price. I understand interpreting this properly requires designated tooling, and I know we're not supposed to expect the bare minimum requirements when they detract from shareholder dividends, but for a character as significant as this, he probably shouldn't have been relegated to the cheaper/lazy option when he deserved some appropriate sculpting.Other than that:OK. A pretty old body mould with pins in the arms that are clearly, visibly the wrong colour, but it does the job. The top of the legs are cast in plastic that's a different colour to the rest of the legs because they're different formulations of plastic, which is distracting. And the hair lacks any paint definition, which implies some cheapness, unfortunately. The two knife accessories are fine, though.Overall: Not bad at a significant discount, but unimpressive beyond the faces.
