I use this to carry my railroad switch keys. Keeps them where I can get to them and keeps me from losing them.

Not worth the money for me. And not able to return. Or refund.

I used this product for 8 months in the ED and it has prevented me from losing my scissors until I sacrificed them for the sake of a highly infectious patient and was unable to recover my scissors from the room before end of shift (who knows where they are now). I am definitely going to buy this again as it was very useful and saved me from buying countless numbers of trauma shear replacements. The square shape is distinctive enough to where everyone knows those scissors are mine for the most part and won't try to steal them. I almost always got my shears back when lending to people and I was always able to find them. You can bejewel or otherwise individualize the leash very easily. If you have expensive scissors that you won't let anyone else borrow for any reason, these will give you peace of mind. The only catch is you have to somehow fit your scissors into the metallic ring or find some other creative solution. Thankfully my cheap $12 amazon scissors fit into the ring just fine.

This is my second purchase (1st broke after 5 years) of this leash, and didn't hesitate to purchase again. The times in which you're using your trauma shears are usually chaotic ones and too often those shears get legs and wander off. It's great knowing I've always got mine on my hip and ready to go. Be careful because occasionally they'll get caught on a chair as you stand and that chair will start to follow you down the hall. Only peeve is the inability to easily quick release with one hand to hand shears to another if needed. There is a button release near keyring, but I've never used it due to difficulty to release.

This is a great product. The clip is easy enough that it never takes too much fumbling if I have to actually unclip it to use my scissors - and the leash itself is long enough that I often don't have to. I was able to attach my scissors and a pair of kelly clamps to the ring on the leash and it is a saving grace when I am moving a ton and all that would be keeping my scissors on me is a loop on my scrubs. No more clamping my kelly's to my shirts, either! Worth the expense if you care about keeping your scissors.

I work as a paramedic; after my first set of Raptor shears took a tumble out of my pocket on a call and were never seen again I bought one of these at the same time I bought my replacement pair of shears. So far so good!

Strong cord, I use mine every day at work as I'm in and out of locked doors. I would give it five stars if the hook part was more user friendly. I hook it to my belt loop, but b/c of the design of the clip, I have a hard time getting the thing off my belt loop.

Oh this is the nicest leash I've ever had in my hands, sadly it's for the wife and she doesn't appreciate it the way us guys would. Sorry it's not pink hunny. It's heavy duty, and it reels with a nice strong pull. You men will approve of this one. Ladies maybe not so much due to size and it being black. I'm going to try to get it back for my fishing bag or get another one.
