I found this item recommended by a YouTuber with a condition causing thick skin on palms of hands and soles of feet. This is hands down the best foot product/callus remover/crack shaver/skin smoother I have ever bought!!!!I have chronically cracked, rough, dry, ugly feet due to childhood running around barefoot on concrete (my house and Grandma's were next door and fenced in) and a decade of ballet, plus eczema exacerbates it.I used to do those acid baby foot peels but they 1. Don't work fully 2. Require so much extra work of soaking and cleaning up after the flakes. I also have used pumice (too gentle), other metal rasps plus gel callus remover (only removes some cracks), and have consistently been using an electric emery type filer from Amazon. The electric has worked the best but 1. Takes a full charge or more to do one foot and does gradual work 2. Doesn't fix fine cracks 3. Tosses skin dust up everywhere (I need to shower after, vacuum, and dust).All of my complaints of the other products are non-existent with this file. However, for anyone who is not careful or not experienced with doing treatments on herself, foot peels or the electric filer is a safer more gentle option. The first time I used this file, I excitedly shaved off a little too much and got a little cut plus the filed areas were pink, tender, and a little sore. That is not an issue for me because my foot skin is thick and I am not on my feet a lot. Since then, I learned to use a light hand with this file. I used it dry in the tub and with just the lightest pressure it flakes all my cracks and dry spots off. It's amazing. Those other products that require elbow grease, upkeep, and time are contrasted with this one needing restraint and careful attention to not press too hard or shave a too thin spot. After filing dry, I optionally do pumice and a body scrub on my feet after, more for self care and to feel smooth rather than it being needed.I will continue to use and repurchase this file indefinitely because I am that thrilled with it!! It's a fantastic value, looks nice, and is designed differently than any other foot files I've seen. 10/10 recommended.TL:dr - works very well for rough feet, go slow and light because it's sharp, not recommended for soft inexperienced feet

I had thick rough heels, and even a few cracks in the calluses. Pumice stones did not work. I had an old PedEgg that just wasn’t doing enough. So I tried this “zester for feet”, and voilá my heels are soft and smooth again! This works fast, easy to hold and use. Just be careful not to use too much pressure and go too fast, as it’s very sharp. It was amazing (and also a bit gross) to see the amount of dead skin that came off! Well worth it.

Wow. Does a great job. I bought this for my husband who has really thick dried skin on his heels. Within minutes he had removed most of it. I then tried it. I was so tired of the emery board type and this thing is great. It’s well made and the handle makes it so easy to use. Just go slow and don’t add much pressure. I highly recommend.

The quality is very good and it’s heavy. It’s not as sharp as I was thinking it was from the reviews. I used it after soaking my husband’s feet and it didn’t remove as much dead skin. Seems like it works better on dry skin but it still didn’t remove a lot of skin. Good item though

This tool works great! Kind of gross how much dead skin came off, but wow! My feet look and feel better than when I get a pedicure at the salon. Wonderful tool and great price.

I love the wide size and placement of the holes on the file. Works great. Way better than a file that looks like the fine shred on a grater. Easy to use, easy to clean and IT WORKS.
