Good value crimper
Purchased and used this crimping tool to build quite a few 6G and 2/0G battery cables. Worked great. In the past I've used long handled manual crimpers. The hydraulic option is much easier and has become very affordable. I had no issues with this tool. The case it comes with is very lightweight and while it protects and holds the tool and dies it doesn't look like it would hold up long. It also has a place where dies can slip into a hole and you have to fish them out. The case works but you're paying for a tool here not a great case so I knocked a star off for the quality of the case.

Does the job.
Had to purchase this item for a one off wire attic, landing railing system we built. It was a good price. It is pretty heavy and is really sturdy. With that being said crimping accuracy was spot on however, it was not very easy to use. It’s quite heavy and, I am a 200 pound man who works out regularly and I needed another set of hands to hold the end pieces the steel wire went into so that I could crimp down accurately. I cannot really speak to the equipment, not being strong enough to assist with that or it’s just the nature of crimping down steel pieces. I’m just gonna assume it requires a lot of strength even with this crimper to get steel wire crimped down. Would recommend for deck railing projects.

Returning
Dies are sized wrong this thing ain’t worth having. Do not wast your money on it. Pump part works good dies are not made wright. Putting in a sub panel was going to crimp ferrules on end of aluminum 1/0 1/0 1/0 2 service entry wire but dies are made wrong dies come together before crimp actually gets started even used next size smaller ferrules still just slide wright off. I am fixing to return this item doesn’t really deserve 1 star

Works
Doing a cable rail system for my stairs. 1/8 inch cable but have been using the #10 just because its crimps the cable connectors much better. Not trying to kill it on the crimper. So far works well.
