I purchased a rifle from a CA dealer and this site was included. But site can be purchased separately. no idea why amazon would not allow this to ship to CA. **Q: does this have the tall mount compatible to the AR or the short mount for rifles** A: This comes with a lower 1/3 cowitness, cantilever mount. I have it on an AR and it allows the front sight to sit in the lower one-third of the viewing window, leaving the red dot above the front sight. There is a separate true cowitness mount available from Vortex that will have your red dot line up dead center with the front sight. **Q: What is the moa on this.?** A: It's a 4 MOA dot. Not really for precision shooting but works great on a carbine. Holds zero riding in my pickup where it lives... **Q: how will this handle heavy recoil, like from a performance center s&w .460?** A: I don't know on a 460. However it does very good with a 308 ar-10. Out of the box no professional tools to mount. Just eyeballing it. Bullseye 1st round on a cold gun that hasn't even been fired. I mounted it on my AR and took it to the range to zero it in. Zeroed in after 10 shots, I then proceeded to pump 300 rounds through my AR. The Strikefire held perfect Zero each and every shot, I then switched to my MBUS sights, they Co Witnessed perfectly. I highly recommend this Optic. If you are looking for an affordable Red Dot with great quality, look no further. Update: Just got back from the range, and you guessed right. 200 more rounds down range 100 yards and my groupings were were within 1.5 inch grouping. Held Zero, This is one rock solid Optic. Used my MBUS sights along with the dot, Dead on. Perfect Co witness, A note: on the Windage and Elevation caps you will notice a extrusion, This is for adjusting the Windage and Elevation the Cap fits the adjustment. so no need for carrying a screwdriver or coin to do the adjusting with. Vortex listened to it's customers and made the Strikefire 2 Better than the original strikefire. The controls are instinctive, the Flip up lens covers Snap easily into position and are secure.(note, the Strikefire 2 does not come with the Screw in 2X, like the orgianl Strikefire) I really don't like sounding like a cheerleader, But i am so impressed with this Optic, No it's not a Trij, Or Eo, But it is not all that far behind. Water proof, fog proof, and it's rugged. I did run and gun with it (similar to 3 gun) and it took a beating and held Zero. I'm a retired LEO with 20 years in. and this is as good as i ever used as a Road Officer or on the SRT. Yes Definitely the Civilian Sheepdogs Optic. And another Update: Purchase the Vortex Absolute Co-Witness Mount from Amazon and installed it.
