High quality paper, well-bound notebook, for fountain pens
High quality paper functionally bound in a notebook. Perfect for writing with a fountain pen or writing instruments that use fine inks. Works wonderfully with both dry and wet inks.

Beautiful Paper
This is a great notebook! Nice thick, smooth paper! It can take my fountain pen. The lines spacing is a bit large, but livable. I like that the pages are numbered and that it has an index, so I can use it like a Bullet Journal.

Best Paper In the World....?
FINALLY! A book with numbered pages that is fountain pen friendly! The only thing close to this is the Lechteruum (spelling?) notebooks, but even they have a little bleed and don't write as smoothly as the Clairefontaine paper. Clairfontaine says that its the best paper in the world... I would say that is is among the best. I really like the Mnemosyne for my spiral notebooks, and the Premium notebooks from Staples are good paper as well. Those are not better than this, and none of those have numbered pages, so you can write all your notes, then enter them into your glossary page at the beginning so you can always go back and find them again. Bravo.

Smooth, low bleed, takes an F or EF nib well
This is smoother than the Rhodia 90g paper that CF makes. However, though it's very low bleedthrough, it's slightly more than the Rhodia. I can't imagine that CF is making separate 90g paper for their lines, but the CF in the CF pads feels smoother. The only feature I don't like is the wide 7mm spacing. I would have liked 5-6, as I use an EF nib usually, or a .38 rollerball, and love the compact feel of a 5-6mm spaced sheet.Feathering is minimal on either pad, both are good, with the CF being slightly (could be my warped perception) better. It also doesn't lay as flat as the hardcover Rhodias. So, off to the Rhodia webbies I go. This is still a great pad though.

Best in class
If you use fountain pens, This book is in a class by itself. I wish the cover was more substantial, but other than that, this book has no rival. I have not seen any other book that will give you paper of this quality with lined and numbered pages. It is excellent! Also, I enjoy the fact that the line spacing is larger than what you would find in other journals. I use this journal for my wider and wetter nibs. I love it!

Great!
Excellent for fountain pens. Minimal to no ghosting and absolutely no ink feathering. Will buy more in the future! This brand is the best there is.

Great Paper, but not a Great Book
I would have given this notebook even fewer stars, but I love how Clairefontaine paper works so well with my fountain pens. The paper pulled it up to three stars, otherwise, it would have received fewer. When I read the description of this notebook, I thought I'd found a replacement for the hardbacked Moleskine notebooks I'd been using for Bullet Journals but with the wonders of Clairefontaine paper. However, when it came in, I found the cover was a thin cardboard, not any sturdier than any of my other Clairefontaine notebooks, which means I need a hard surface to write on, not a good characteristic for a notebook that I carry with me and write in on the go. The pockets in the front and back aren't as secure as the pocket at the back of the Moleskine. The paper, while buttery smooth, as expected from Clairefontaine, is a yellow color that will definitely not work with my most-used fountain pen inks. And finally, the ribbon bookmark is much too short to be useful. It needs to be longer than the diagonal measurement of the book in order to be able to flip the book open. When I try that with this notebook, the ribbon slips out of my hand before I get the leverage I need to open the book because it's too short.I'll use this notebook for something sometime — it would be a shame to waste the paper — but I'm still looking for a journal that has the elements that make Moleskine notebooks so good for Bullet Journals with good paper that works with my fountain pens. Maybe it's time to try a Leuchtterm 1917.

Semplicemente perfetto
