Suzuki Violin School, Vol 3: Piano Acc.

As a guitarist of 9 years now learning the violin, I am really enjoying the Suzuki series and making a lot of progress. I would, however, recommend supplementing Suzuki pieces with some independently selected pieces of various difficulty levels. The thing to remember is that the Suzuki pieces are chosen specifically for teaching techniques, and each piece is not just one technical lesson, but many. This is great, and it allows for rapid progress, but it's easy to get a bit drained by the onslaught of new techniques in every piece. If you apply the techniques you learned in a given Suzuki piece to other music of a similar or easier difficulty level, this can help reinforce what you've learned before you move on to the next Suzuki piece (plus you've added to your repertoire).

My daughter's school required this for her violin class. Much cheaper here than the local music store, and delivered on time.

This is a great book to have on hand if your child is serious about violin playing. Making true music means interacting with other musicians and when you need to have a live piano accomplishment, this book is the perfect resource to give to your pianist. It has really propelled our son to become a serious violinist and the local piano teacher was glad we could offer the proper music for our son's violin lesson support.

Amazon sent me two books and I only ordered one! Don’t like being charged for two when I only ordered one!

I'm so glad to have this for accompanying my granddaughter. I'm slow at accompanying, and MOST of the accompaniments are fairly easy to master, though there are some un-pianistic passages that I've had to alter.

Mit diesem Buch werden die Kenntnisse aus dem Buch 1 und 2 vertieft. Die CD hilft natürlich, die Melodien der Lieder (wieder) zu erkennen, damit man hören kann wie der Bogen über die Saiten zu führen ist. Unsere Violinlehrerin erarbeitet mit Hilfe der Suzuki-Hefte die Technik des Violinspiels. Auf diese Weise lernt man nicht nur das Notenlesen, sondern auch das Gehör für die einzelnen Töne und Takte usw. zu schulen. Es ist allerdings auch sehr von der/dem Violinlehrer/in abhängig. Ein schlechter Lehrer kann auch nichts beibringen... Wir sind mit der Kombination Lehrer/Suzuki sehr zufrieden!

I have 3 daughters who have all done well working through these (with instructors). Suzuki is great for kids because they learn theory painlessly. The songs are designed to teach new techniques as they progress to the next piece. The CD is important so they can hear what it should sound like and have fun playing along.

Piano accompaniment for the violin Suzuki book volume 3 which means the violin part is not included. But this is what I needed so happy with purchase
