Women's 80's Groupie Costume

Good quality fits to a tee ..nice color

The top was nice but the belts weren't shiny and made from very cheap fabric. The dress itself is stretchy but was too tight across my stomach and chest which was annoying. I ended up wearing everything with another black dress which looked cute for the 80's party I went to.

Overall it's a nice costume. I am a bit older and so I ended up not wearing the mesh top or the belts. The mesh top is cut very short and I did not like the way it looked on me. The belts are little cheap looking and did not work with the effect I was trying to achieve. I bought the costume to wear to an 80s night club and the belt and mesh top looked alittle too "costume partyish". I LOVED the dress though! It was perfect for my frame and size, (I generally wear a size 10). The dress came to just above my knees. I wore a cropped levi jacket I already owned along with a black leather belt with a silver buckle that hung on my hips and a pair of hot pink pumps with some chains around my neck. I was very happy with the look and it fit right in.

I thought this would be great for my 30th birthday party (which is 80s themed). At worst I thought I'd be able to use some of the pieces, but it turned out I didn't want to use ANY of the pieces of the costume. The bottom of the dress (the ruffle part) is completely see-through. The dress is matronly and not at all flattering. The mesh top is like a plastic mesh material and so cheaply made that there is no front or back (so it fits very awkwardly and if you have any boobs at all the front is much shorter than the back).Overall this costume is very cheap and very ugly.

As other reviewers have stated, this doesn't look at all like the cute girl wearing it does. For one thing it has an extra ruffle on the bottom, so it's not short like hers is, but perhaps this is good because you may want it to be longer. Personally being 5'4" 118 lbs. I want it shorter so I think I'll cut off the third ruffle at the bottom. It will then be too short to wear without leggings or something to CYA, but I'll be wearing leggings with it. The belt is also nothing like the photo. In the photo it looks like two plastic, shiny patent type belts. It's not patent, it's fabric and quite bulky. It's two separate looking belts in front and they are sewn together in the back. I may cut it up and see what I can fashion out of it...not sure, but it's definitely not a cute sexy belt as shown. And the fishnet top should just be thrown in the trash, don't even bother to try it on, it looks awful and wouldn't fit any human woman properly... The bodice fits me nicely though and I think paired with some other cute 80's stuff I can make it work. You would probably do better just going to some thrift shops and/or teen stores and piecing together your own costume... Oh and the hair bow looks really stupid on me. Hey remind me why I'm keeping this?! haha I'm basically only going to use the dress. Maybe I'll return the whole mess.

My friend had an 80s themed party for her 30th and I was stumped on what to wear. I saw this and figured that it would work nicely. I normally wear an 8 or 10, but this fit just fine. It was a little big, but nothing noticeable. The skirt was really see through so I had to wear a black slip underneath. Easy fix. I ended up buying bright pink leg warmers, too, which went great with the mess top. The top hit right below my bust so anyone a little bustier could have a bit of a problem with coverage. Not bad for a virtually complete outfit, though.
