I really liked the Band-Aid friction stick for when I surf because multiple hours of paddling can cause some pretty bad chafe in the armpit area. However, Band-Aid decided to discontinue their friction stick, and you now see just one stick going for about $25 from 3rd party sellers.This Compeed stick appears to be exactly the same as the Band-Aid friction stick, just in a slightly different package - while the weight has stayed the same, the Band-Aid stick comes in a flatter and wider shape compared to the Compeed stick. The shape difference is negligible, and the Compeed stick uses the same ingredients and even has the same fragrance as the Band-Aid brand.My experience using the stick is limited to use when surfing, so I can't comment on other uses. The stick does not come off easily in the water, and one application can get me through a 2-3 hour surf sesh. The Band-Aid friction stick was my go-to when I needed to prevent chafe from surfing, and this Compeed stick is basically the same thing. So, for those like me who are looking for something to replace the Band-Aid friction stick, this Compeed stick is it.

It works. I tested it as soon as it came in. It does work. Glad I got it.

mmm yes, it might work, but it's a bit doughy for my taste. in the end i have to spread it by hand.

This stuff is amazing! I now carry one in my purse at all times. Feel your shoes rubbing? Apply Compeed, and the rubbing miraculously stops. I can’t recommend enough!
