Kombucha Brewing Starter Kit

This is an excellent kit. It has everything you need to get started with your kombucha brewing. The directions are well-written and easy to understand. I like how this kit includes EVERYTHING you need. I am very pleased with this purchase!

This kit is great for a first time brewer. Kombucha made simple. There is very little measuring and enough supplies for 2 brews. You will need to get a warmer band if the area you do your brew in is drafty. It will take longer than the 7-14 days. If you have great patience, you will be fine. Happy Brewing.

The jar and sugar were fine, but no scoby came with the kit. It would have been perfect if the scoby had been included. But it was good customer service that they at least saw to it that i got a partial rebate because the kit was incomplete.

The kit has everything the only thing I didn't like was that the cloth to cover the 1gallon bottle fabric is to thin... so my kambucha got contaminated 😕

When we moved across the country I left behind the kombucha scoby I had brewed from for two years. Upon our settling into our new home, my husband ordered this for me as a Christmas gift.The package sat hidden and untouched for a month. I was a little worried when I opened it and realized this scoby had been sitting all that time with no tending. No need, the first batch was ready in 13 days and I have what appears to be 2-3 layers of new, very healthy-looking scoby growth on day 15.

This was a fabulous kit and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I made a batch of ginger/hibiscus kombucha which turned out great. I would order again just to have another kit to make more. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This was convenient for getting what I needed to start brewing (sans the glass bottles for the second ferment) but I had to do a LOT of googling to get the proper information. I also joined an online group for help, which you would probably find helpful as well. The instructions that came with this said to keep it at room temperature. Well, for me the room temperature was in the mid 60s, which is a little too cold for kombucha. My first batch wasn't that great. After I did more reading online, I learned the temperature should be warmer so I moved it to the top of my China cabinet in the dining room and the second batch turned out a lot better. The ph strips that come with it aren't that great either. All in all its a decent set, but since brewing kombucha has a lot of important factors that should be included with this in some sort of hand book, I'm only giving 4 stars. I recommend doing as much reading as you can online before you start your first brew, rather than jumping in with the instructions that were included.

I am on my third kombucha batch!!!! I never though it would be possible for me to make homemade kombucha. I tried with different starting kits, but this one has clear explanation and all you need to start your kombucha batch. I recommend you to buy vinegar too since its eeed to just pH some times and to clean your hands.
