Occidental Leather9085 Stronghold Tool Case

Your work apron is one of your most important tools. I think it's important for a tradesman to think about what you really need all the time in your apron and get a system that holds exactly that and puts what you most frequently use in more accessible places, and held on the side of the body close to the hand that will use the tool.Rather than purchase a complete work apron, I pieced together my own tool-belt by buying separate right and left side bags which allowed me to customize it, and also saved me a few bucks. I bought the Occidental leather 1551 for the left-side bag which i really like. The 9085 is a terrific right-side bag (for right handers). I keep all my right-hand tools in it - a set of nail nippers, box-knife, pencil, sharpie, channel locks or crescent wrench. The pencil holsters are great, very easy to use. The the holster showed in the picture with a cats-paw is not very useful, since that's a left-hand tool which i keep in my left-side bag, but I use it for extra things that are nice to have just in case like a live-wire-tester. The pouch is good for a tape or chalk-liner, or extra fasteners, though i try to keep my frequently used fasteners on my left.I'm not a big fan of the plastic sheaths they give you for a knife or chisel, but whatever, you can throw that out.All around solid construction, nothing but the finest from occidental leather.

I cannot fault this tool bag in any way. It honestly is very well thought out and has a tremendous amount of organization. However, it wasn't what I ultimately needed for my particular work. I ended up selling this to a friend and getting the Oxy Finisher tool bag to match the fastener bag I already had. It was just better for me. But, if you need to carry a lot of right handed tools, and like to have organization, this is the bag for you.

Right for the job, a little pricey but it works

This is single-handedly one of the best things I've ever purchased. It was kind of a leap of faith because they're on a ton of pictures or anything of it as far as how you can lay it out with tools and things like that but I will be the first one to tell you that I can pack more in that thing and have it accessible and useful then I ever could before. I previously had to Occidental leather bags on each side and swap the right side out for this and let me tell you it's way easier to store stuff and keep it all handy and it's nice because it's very compact but fits way more than my right side bag did before. We have about five or six guys at work with us who all have different Occidental leather set ups and all of them would much prefer this over whichever bag they have on the right side. The only bummer is that you have to buy it separately and for me I had to buy a complete Occidental leather set up first only to realize that I really needed this instead but other than that no complaints this thing is awesome

I sent this unit back because I prefer the hammer to me in the middle of the outside of the pocket - much easier to get to Also, there is no easy way to store a tape. But, quality is great as always with Occidental, and, the pouch is very costly compared to others available. But, none of the others are made this well.

This bag is absolutely perfect. What you don't see is that the outer plastic sleeve can be removed and the pocket has a hole completely through it. It's the perfect size to have a full size flat bar in your belt at all times. I simply moved the plastic next to the other piece of plastic. This piece of my belt alone currently holds mini combo square, 5/8 chisel, bevel square, framing nail punch, springset nail punch, 6-in-1 screwdriver, 4-in-1 rasp, 12" prybar, mini block plane, pencil, crayon, 6" clamp, 1/4" drill bit in the plastic sleeves hole, 1/8" drill bit, end nippers/nail pullers, and torpedo level. This still leaves the outer pocket completely empty for fasteners and the hammer hook free to hang my multitool, drill, or any gun with a hook. Priceless addition to my set.

I am a Journeyman Union Carpenter doing concrete form work on new construction high rises. This tool bag was a replacement for my Occidental fat lip tool bag that finally needed replacement after 10 yrs! This bag offers me more spaces for larger tools I.e (iron workers pliers, iron workers diagnal cutters, channel locks, etc) than can be comfortably layers out in a framers only set up. If you can afford it this is the setup!

This tool pouch exceeded my expectations! The leather is very high quality and actually breaks in pretty fast. There are plenty of compartments for all my tools I need at any given time. I highly recommend this bag. I have gone through multiple tool bags from Lowes or Home Depot, and I wish I made the investment on this a long time ago.

This is my go to tool bag. It's light and there is lots of room for tools and your hand
