BOOST Original Balanced Nutritional Powder Drink Mix with 10g Protein and 25 Vitamins & Minerals, Very Vanilla, 14.6 Ounce

Never knew that Boost came in a powdered form! Although the ready made shakes are very good, they do go quick when drinking 2 a day. I wanted a nutritional powder to make my own shakes at home. The choices for the nutritional drink powders that are targeted more for those who are much more active/athletic were overwhelming as well as quite pricey. (I'm a rather sedentary 68 yr. old who just wants to supplement my nutritional needs without having to swallow pills & hopefully gain a little weight). It was while I was searching through those that I found the Boost Nutritional Powder Drink Mix. Yay! Although it says to mix it with water, I make my own high calorie shake (and I need all the calories I can get) by mixing it with whole milk, fruit, and nut butter in my bullet blender. Soooo good! The vanilla flavor is not overpowering so the flavor of whatever fruit I am using comes through. If I want a simple cold glass of milk, I just mix it up with some Boost and enjoy the vanilla flavor or flavor it myself with some chocolate syrup or coffee for something different. I like having that diversability. Good amount of calories per serving, chock FULL of vitamins & minerals (take a look at the nutrition facts, it's a long list), good number of servings per container, very reasonably priced, convenient & so easy to use (and I don't have to fill my trash with the 8-oz. plastic bottles the premade shakes come in). And just a heads up: although it's a powder, it does contain milk and soy ingredients, so be aware of that should you have digestive issues with those ingredients.

I have an autoimmune disorder and because of that I have to deal with digestive issues everyday. As a result I have lost a lot of weight because it is so hard to get enough calories everyday. I like to use this as a way to get more calories in. I haven't gained a lot of weight (I digest at a slow rate) but I haven't lost any and that is a plus! The taste isn’t so bad. Just add some banana and ice in your shake and it makes all the difference! Between the bottled shakes that are already made and this powder form, I like this one better. If you don't blend it and try by hand you will get clumps! 10-15 seconds on the blender and it's ready to drink. I do recommend this powder blend.

Taste not as good as the already-made Boost drinks. However the product is a manageable alternative when traveling & the Boost drinks are not available.

I brought this product for my grandma. She doesn’t have any teeth which is hard for her to eat. And being very picky. She will mix it with warm water in the morning and drink it. It’s sweet which she likes. Powder when mix it don’t have chalkiness taste to it.

My mom was very thin... buying this product and taking it increased her weight and that made me very happy, I always buy it again.

Purchased as alternative to Ensure Balanced Nutrition powder. I suppose if the contents are of similar amounts, this is just as healthy. But I don't particularly like the flavor, and that's taking into account that nutritional items aren't necessarily going to taste wonderful, so I don't really expect them to. It's primarily glucose syrup and whey protein, so ... yeah, I look forward to powdered Ensure to return to market. Production/supply shortages have made it rare, but normally it is both good and enjoyable in flower.

I am very pleased with Boost. It blends easily ( I have a ninja blender) and I put bananas or strawberries or blue berries and sometimes chocolate syrup as I don't really care for plain vanilla flavor. I will reorder. I drink this every morning before taking my meds as I need something in my stomach. Then I head to the pool for a walk in the water for 30 minutes then 45 minutes of water aerobics. It all makes a difference. I will be 86 on the 15th.

Compared to the Boost Drink this has actual nutritional value not empty calories. Wish they would put the Boost Pudding back on the market. This I will buy again the liquid I will not.
