From the minute I opened the box, this has been nothing short of awesome. My two little boys loved opening the ribbon the box is wrapped in and even loved playing with the fluff inside. Instead of having to make it to the Italian deli for some authentic Italian goods, I was able to open my front door. To be honest, if most of the label is in Italian, I know I made the right purchase.I find that the older I get, the more important it is to spend money on good quality food and this is worth every penny! The classic pasta shapes are delicious with just the olive oil (my toddlers love that way) and we love it tossed in the tomato sauce. I am definitely going to be ordering one for friends who are having their first baby- it's a perfect post partum gift!

Oh, Lordy, this gift basket that I treated to myself was well worth it! I like maybe one jarred red sauce that’s out there, but even that is only used on days when I am too lazy to cook. Most sauces are grossly thick and way, way too sweet from added sugars. This one, however, tastes as if I’d grown spectacular tomatoes in my own garden and made my own. I’ve seriously never found a jarred sauce that tasted this fresh. It’s truly exceptional.And the pasta? Perfection. Not all dried pasta is the same, and the bucatini was proof of that. It cooked up perfectly al dente in just 5 minutes (and usually a bucatini would take longer), so I’m not sure what kind of sorcery has gone in production, but I’m here for it. Also, one package could easily feed six people! I would love larger jars of sauce, but you also need way less sauce than usual because you are not trying to hide/drown a mediocre pasta. The olive oil is also lovely to drizzle on top!Yeah, this is not a cheap set, but you absolutely get what you pay for, and you also get quality that I’ve never found in store products. The gift packing is lovely (I forgot to take a photo because I was so excited and ripped it open, lol!), and it would make a spectacular gift to a loved one for a birthday, wedding, etc.The pasta and sauce… THE PASTA AND SAUCE!! <faints> Gusta also has a bunch of other things that look AHHHmazing. (All of their stuff is truly straight from Italy, too!)

The most delicious ingredients to make a “very Italian” pasta at home. The variety of pastas are delicious and beautiful and the olive oil is very good for dipping and cooking. The Sicilian red sauce has tons of flavor and easy to use. I highly recommend! :) I added Manila clams and tons of garlic to my pasta with the red sauce! It was heavenly :)

This pasta gift basket is the perfect thing to send to someone for any occasion - housewarming, birthday, anniversary, etc. It has two pasta options and plenty of sauce to pour on top. Both are yummy and I'd definitely get this for someone I know who loves pasta!

I got this as a gift for my daughter when I stayed with her. It arrived in a regular box, so she could not see what it was. When opened there is a beautiful beige box with a red ribbon on it, perfect because it did not need any gift wrapping. The box is very well packaged, all the pasta and the glass jars were intact. It comes with two bucatini (I had never tried these) and two rotini (they call it fusilli), two jars of sauce and one olive oil. Since we had never had the bucatini, my daughter cooked that one first. The cooking instructions on the individual packages are in Italian, but there is a booklet in the box with English instructions, and it is pasta, so it was not hard to find the time on the package to follow. Important to do follow the package, because the bucatini only cooks for 3-4 minutes! the fusilli cooking time is comparable to other supermarket pasta.Now for the sauce.... YUMMMMMMMM! my only complain here is that we needed more of it, as we like our pasta super saucy! She cooked some Italian sausage and crumbled it on top of the plate of pasta & sauce, but it would have been fine without it as well.Kind of pricey for every day, but good for when you want something fancier than supermarket fare.
