Very nice
I ordered these for my girlfriend for ranch work and horse back riding in cold, wet weather. She loves them. They are totally waterproof and rugged enough for the type of work she does. She is 5' 3", with a 29 inch waist and the small was too small. She couldn't even pull them on, so we exchanged them for a medium which fit perfectly. She likes the Velcro cinch cuffs which help to keep out snow and mud and cold air from blowing up into the legs. She also likes the cord locks in the waist which help to get a better fit and keeps them from sliding down. I'll probably get a pair for myself for my work as a garbage man. They seem rugged enough and much less expensive than Gore-Tex.

High and Dry
I was waiting for one or more rain storms to try these out before reviewing them. While you can easily spend $400 dollars on a pair of rain pants, why would you when these are offered at this price. These work great and keep you dry in the rain whether you wear them over a uniform pant or cheat and wear them without the uniform pants for those humid rain storms. Their functionality is also great with the belt loops at the top for an under belt for your duty belt, regular belt or no belt at all and the zipper and Velcro strap at the bottom for putting them on over boots and tightening the strap to your liking. For their price I was not expecting so much quality but was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I can suggest to the company to add is a rear pocket flap for access to one’s wallet. When I wear these, I just keep my ID, debit card, money, etc. in a shirt pocket instead since there is no rear flaps for back pocket access. These met my needs almost perfectly and I am sure they will do the same for you.

EXCELLENT quality
heads above the army issue version! Spent 4 days in -20 degree weather, snow shoeing and ruck marching in these... NO issue, very comfortable and no water penetration at all. cuffs were excellent and velcro worked perfect, zippers easy to access and waste band was very comfortable and did not require suspenders to keep up like the issue versions.

They are long, long. The average Joe will need a Taylor to adjust them.
You better have A good Taylor if your not 6 foot six because a zipper is involved

Good product
Quality and fit expected of Tru-Spec. These are my at adverse weather pant for hunting in Montana. They go in my pack year round. I was using some second hand Desert camo. Finaly upgraded to the this Multicam set to match the rest of my gear and terrains.

Typical stiff rain gear
Nothing new or different than the Army rain gear before. Very stiff and loud , fit is a little tight over clothing but again, typical. Good field pants for money.

Great rain pants but not as good as Wiggy's Duck Back.
I have not used the pants yet but I had a pair just like them in woodland camo I used in the service many years ago. I would not have ordered the pants in black if I didn't have faith in them. In fact the new black rain pants are an improvement in several ways over the old camo pants. GoreTex is okay but check out Wiggy's duck back gear. When it comes to outdoor gear clothing it doesn't get any better than Wiggy's. Wiggy's is the best in the world to keep you warm and dry. Unfortunately Wiggy's does not make rain pants.

Excellent pants for rain and cold
They are really good pants to keep you dry and semi warm. They block the wind well. They definitely keep the water out. I had to roll my pants up because they kept poking out of the lower edge and getting wet from the rain. Something I never had to deal with in the military, so learning curve. Exactly the same as the ones I had issued, minus color.
