592 Pcs Historical Collection WWII /2552/ Sd.Kfz 251/1 Ausf.A

A fine representation of an iconic vehicle: well designed, good looking, and fun to assemble. My only nitpick is more along the lines of wishful thinking: it would have been nice if this had been a 2-in-1 set that would let you create another of the many variants of this German mechanized infantry workhorse.A few reviews mention missing pieces. I'm sure it can happen, but of my many Cobi sets, it hasn't happened yet to me, knock on wood. From many years of building Lego and sets from competitors, like Cobi, here's my advice: you think you are missing a piece but a) it's still in one of the bags and you overlooked it b) it fell to the floor while you weren't looking or c) you used it incorrectly in an earlier step and will need to backtrack. 99 times out of a 100, that's where the missing piece is. (If you're going with some of the really off-brand, Chinese Lego or Cobi knock-offs, then there's a good chance you'll actually be missing something, but you get what you pay for.)

I found Cobi sets a few months back and have fallen in love ever since. As a major historian buff and avid Lego fan Cobi was the best of both worlds! I’ve gotten 9-10 sets so far ranging from large ships to small personnel carriers, this is the first one I ran into a problem with. It seems that one piece got mixed into the wrong set but it wasn’t a huge issue as it still accomplished the same purpose. One of the flat hinged pieces came studded instead but it didn’t interfere with the rest of the set so no harm done! Still love the set and will continue to buy more I actually have 3 more sets on the way right now!

I liked everything about it. It is so close identical to the real one. Easy assembly if you done this many times, but might be a few trick times if it’s your first. I just have a small cherry pick about the doors. When you close the doors it’s supposed to be solid shut. No light or openings should be visible. But in this set the back doors when shutting all the way, light and opening areas are now visible.Again just a small picking but other then all that it’s really a fantastic set.

Very nice model. All pieces are there and it was easy but entertaining to assemble. Recommended 100%.

Yeah Baby!

I've built a dozen or so Cobi model kits with good results, but this is by far the worst of the lot. Badly engineered with some poor fitting issues such as the walls surrounding the troop compartment. Other fitting problems as well. Yes, there were parts missing, too. This may be my last Cobi kit. Cobi was fun...for awhile.

Although it is a cool and classic set the tracks do not stay on well and are sometimes hard to put on.

Okay the Cobi sets may not be absolute modelling perfection but then this is not the point or purposeThey are fun to build, well made with clear instructions and I have yet to have any missing pieces unlike many Lego sets in the pastWhen the family pets unfortunately did get hold of my Hanomag and chewed it - their customer service to get replacement pieces - all the way from Poland - was spot onVery good European company and product 👍
