This is a great flash set up, very versatile. Being able to remove the flash heads and position them where you want is really good. Well made and easy to use system.

At roughly 40% of the price of the Nikon equivalent this is a fantastic option. Works on pretty much any DSLR with a pop up flash (or you can get the Godox triggers - XT or XPro for your camera and then it works with non pop up systems). It is perhaps a little less solid than the Nikon, but as I look after my kit that’s not an issue. The rechargeable built in batteries are long lasting and there are plenty of options in respect to settings. It will trigger wirelessly or optically. I use this for macro, off camera and for training courses, well worth the price in my humble view.

Paired this with a Godox XPro-C controller and it works a treat with a Canon EOS DS5. I've had issues with other other third party flash units in the past, but so far this has been reliable.Although the flash and fittings are plastic, they are good quality. The flash ring adapter inserts are metal.I shoot macro and I reckon this is near perfect.

I don't think there is anything about this equipment you could complain about, oh OK the gel filters are stored in a rubbish container. Oh yes the diffusers aren't a lot of good, although I imagine most folk will be making their own reflector diffusers, but the supplied ones are no ill store for emergencies.The flash units are solid and feel robust, certainly well made. Batteries last me a day easily.A fraction of the price of equivalent kit from camera manufacturers. Operation a bit of a learning curve!Buy and enjoy

I’m an experienced macro photographer. These are best macro flash have used. So impressed got a third to light up rear/underneath.

Brilliant versality on or off the lens, wireless synch on the xpro system is immediate, really handy selection of fitting rings for lenses. Stunning highly adjustable lighting for insects and small items. Came with dozens of flash gels. I bought two kits to create a quad flash setup. Exposure stacking no longer needed, very narrow apertures up to f22 at close range achievable See images taken with godox mf-12 's mounted on a canon EF 100mm macro.

Made a massive difference to my macro work. The switchable modelling lights are fantastic at such close range to enable easier focusing. So pleased I bought a second set for another camera!
