Fun Little Book, Great for My Own Leaf Thief
This is a delightful book that's perfect for my little leaf enthusiast. My toddler, who loves picking up leaves and bringing them home (which is why I absolutely had to grab this, haha), finds this story enjoyable and humorous, as do we! It's a fun read with engaging illustrations, and its just long enough to make it feel like a great value. The book has quickly become a favorite in our household, and an excellent addition to our reading collection. Would recommend!

Great story telling!
This book is so much fun to read!! It’s written in a way that makes your narration very engaging and exciting, I may have enjoyed it more than my one year old! Of course I had to then get “the snow thief” such fun books!!!

So many things to love about this book!!
1. The cover is beautiful. The title and some leaves are printed with foil material so they glow at different angles. It’s subtle but perfect in the ratio compared to the regular print.2. Pages are thicker than a lot of books so it looks and feels nice.3. It’s not too long where your toddler loses interest. (It would be hard to anyway)4. There are multiple characters throughout it so you can choose to change your voice/emotions/pitch when reading what each animal says keeping your child laughing.5. You can interact with your child on what is happening on practically every page in a fun way.6. Your child is learning about Autumn in a way where you’re not forcing. They will ask questions out of curiosity on some pages.7. At the end of the book are facts (very aesthetically pleasing) to tech your kid about things that happen during Autumn.8. It’s funny.9. The writing and artwork go so well together.10. These characters you can love and look forward to seeing them in other books. Before adding this review I already searched for more books. The second one, “Don’t Touch That Flower!” Has a release date of April 2023.

Humorous read aloud
My 5 and 3 year old really enjoyed the book and asked me to read it to them over and over. Such a cute squirrel character who is baffled by the leaves disappearing and his friend the bird who is reasonable and tries to help him understand his leaves are not being stolen at all, that this misunderstanding of the squirrel’s comes back year after year. It has a very cute ending that sparked conversations for me and my kiddos. Definitely a fun read aloud for kids.

A lovely little book for younger children that helps them learn about the seasons
This book was very nicely illustrated and offered a story about a little squirrel who learned that it wasn't a thief who took his leaf, but the fact that Autumn is what causes the leaves to disappear. It seems a simple lesson but younger children can enjoy this book when a parent reads to them and they become aware a bit more or the world around them and how it changes from one season to the next. Good Book!

Favorite book that endures beginning at 15 months
My 15 month old grandson immediately loved this book when he received it and 5 months later is still a favorite- Though most of his books at the time were board books, he always eagerly pulled this off the shelf and sat through the whole book. The pages have quite a bit of dialogue so it can be reduced as needed for attention spans building up to reading the whole page. My grandson knew "Bird!" was coming after one read and laughs. He is now 20 months and still he picks it most nights as part of bedtime stories. The pictures are fun and it is a cute story. As a speech path- I love how engaging the book is for little ones and I am sure my grandson will continue to enjoy the book through his preschool years. The end of the book has interesting science facts as well (the book can "grow" with him). I highly recommend it!
