I am partial to the GreenView brand of fertilizers. I use this version in the fall when overseeing the lawn. Works great with new seed. I take great pride in my lawn and this works great. Easy to use - just apply the setting in your spreader and get your new seed the nutrients it needs to germinate and develop the sustainable roots. High quality product.

I can't say enough good things about this starter fert. I thinned out the front half of my lawn and then overseeded the first week of October with a quality TTTF cultivar and had to cross my fingers against a first frost given how late I started. I would normally have waited a few days after seeding to put the fert down, but rain was forecasted and I didnt want a washout, so I spread the fert immediately after overseeding. The results were fantastic - I had germinations within 4-5 days and the seedlings came in a lush dark green. I'm sure alot had to do with the seed cultivar and the constant watering (mostly 2x a day after am dew evaporated, for 15 min each session) over the first two weeks. I almost regretted using this instead of the Scotts with tenacity (I partly top dressed a few sections of the lawn with top soil from a blue box store and one bag of soil definitely had weeds), but I can take care of any weeds with a post-emergent next spring or possibly later this fall. All of this is to say I plan on using this again when I thin out and overseed the back yard next fall.

I think it worked good, my new grass seed didn't burn up so I suppose it did it's job, as it is growing good.

This is the second grass I’ve ordered one of the second year. I recommend people over their grass seed from Amazon. It’s cheaper and it’s the same as you buy in the store.

I read all the reviews on this product before I bought it, I saw the problems people said they were having. I have not had any trouble except where I put too much down. I use a hand crank spreader , Use it sparingly, it’s easy to put too much down. It is working great for me. My lawn is much greener and growing well. I like the stuff. Just remember to use it lightly, I’ve used it twice now In the last month, (2 weeks apart with plenty of rain) and have a great looking lawn. Except the spot where I put too much down. 😀 I most likely will buy it again.

This stuff really dark green my grass

I normally use scotts.I decided to try this with greenview fescue seed.the seed came up great.however my yard is no where as green as when I use scotts.I have found that Augustine grass loves starter fertilizer.I over seed lightly in winter months with fescue instead of perennial ryegrass.it just blends better.I will use scotts only from now on.I love Jonathan green fescue seed but impossible to find on Amazon now.

This product worked well on my grass. I had to overseed my lawn as I had some thin spots. I didn't want to go to my big box store to get some starter fertilizer. As I was looking for something new to try I came across this product. I decided to try it as the price was reasonable and the reviews were good. I don't regret it. In fact I am going to buy more for the spring time to start my lawn off on the right foot. My existing grass was renewed and the new grass came in thick. I had a nice green lawn. I recommend buying this product. You won't regret it.
