If you are looking for a cheap hood, this qualifies. If you are looking for a good hood, this is not for you.I have only worn it on three occasions, and the satin is already showing snags. The button on the back already fell off. The velvet is wrinkly and unable to be flattened or smoothed out, because there is too much material in some places and not enough in others. The sewing is wobbly and it makes the velvet ripply instead of smooth. If you are looking for nice workmanship that will last you for years, you will want to steer clear of this one.

This is the real deal! Much cheaper than what my university was charging for the same thing. Worth the money saved and looks like it’s made from quality materials.

It's heavyweight and has vibrant colors. I wasn't sure what I would get because some of the reviews were negative, but it's really good. I never bought my graduation gear because it was just too insane to spend so much money. Now, I find myself needing it, and I'm still unwilling to pay. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Great product! As a professor, I had to order regalia for our regular commencement ceremonies. I was very satisfied with the quality, and the price is the best I’ve found. I have received so many complements, and comments like, “Wow! I bet you paid a pretty penny for that!” I am very satisfied!

I wore this hood while I was giving a commencement speech at a school in MD. It actually looks better than the hood I received when I completed my doctorate 30 years ago!

The hood is heavyweight with nice material and looks very nice, but the string/tassel at the neck broke the first time I wore it--probably because the material is so heavy. Overall, I would recommend it to others, but I was disappointed that the string broke because that is where I usually attach a safety pin to keep the heavy hood off of my neck during graduation.

It's a beautiful, quality hood. Bought it to match the one fromm y graduation last year now that am a professor myself. I was impressed with the weight of the fabric and my colleagues complimented it as well. Money well spent!

Great-looking hood. Colours are bright, and it hangs well. If you're looking for a hood for special occasions (like graduations) this is great. And even as faculty, how many graduations will you attend in a year?
