No, you'll need to get a chain lube adapter it'll go over the part of the cable that extends past the housing. It has a hole for the straw nozzle to go into and as you spray it, it'll go into the housing and down to the other end while lubricating the cable.

I used this on some older motorcycle cables. Can't say if it works good or not but no problems yet. Most Newer motorcycle cables have teflon lined cables and lube is not required. This will be used on gas powered lawn equipment without lined cables in the future. Will probably work fine in that application.
