EVS Sports Comp Suit (Black/Red, Medium)

I ordered 3 of these, adult XXL for me and youth S and L sizes for the kids. Intended use is for BMX racing. Adults, take note of unisex sizing, I'm normally a large and sometimes an XL but I needed to exchange the XL I ordered initially for a 2XL. My 7yo is on the smaller size and he fits the youth small just right. My 11yo is 5' tall and she fits proper in the youth large.The adjustable straps seem kinda cheap and don't stay tight very well. There are Velcro closures on the forearm which seems unnecessary.The side zipper makes it very easy to get on or off.The material is slightly scratchy most noticably in the back, less so in the arms or chest. I will try removing the tags and see if that helps. An undershirt alleviates the itchiness but adds yet another layer which is not ideal in summer heat.Breathability seemed ok with an underlayer and a jersey at 80 degrees. At warmer temps I think this may be an issue.For me, the elbow guards don't naturally align and I have to adjust their positioning rather more often than I think should be necessary.The packaging indicates removable sleeves on both youth and adult sizes. The sleeves are not in fact removable in any way.There is a cutout in the armpit for extra air flow and this also reduced a chafe point, so that's a bonus.The shirt seems short and I can't comfortably tuck it into my pants with my jersey. Not a big deal but I like the cleaner tucked in look and with the comp suit untucked, under a tucked jersey, feels kinda icky to me personally but your mileage may vary.The price point is ok for what a pretty basic bike armor. The protection seems adequate enough (no crashes yet) to help minimize injury from impacts with the ground and that is my main objective since, if you race often enough you're eventually going to go down hard.Outfitting a family is expensive no matter what, and this is a reasonably affordable option to get some basic protection with some tradeoffs on fitment and comfort.

Believe me or not, I'm in Texas from June 2023..temperature in the 110-119, this piece was an incredible help for the heat! The black actually takes in the heat and the mesh let the wind trough... Just wow, worth every penny and more! This without saying the amazing design that even small kids i was like a superhero LOOOL

Purchased this to do some trail riding with a friend. Took a good spill and hit a tree (not going terribly fast). Walked away from what could have been some broken ribs. No injuries and no damage to vest. Highly recommend!

I love how the arm protection stays put, if you are an average sized human, it will for you too. I have tried everything, and this fits me better and stays put. I ride Enduro all day with this and it works!

Has good airflow and is protecting vital areas. Not as good as much more expensive products.

Overall the protection of this comp suit feels very cheaply made. Don’t think I’ll be keeping it. The description also states the sleeves can be removed, and show a zipper at the bicep in the photos. This zipper does not exist on the suit I received. False advertising isn’t cool. Would not recommend.
