These are the soil amendments I would choose separately all in one at a good price . Work wonderful with my hawothias and cactus, sometimes I add a small amount of potting mix or chunky coco coir , depending on how dry your plants like it. I was a chronic over- waterer and lost a lot of very pretty succulents before I got the hang of the gritty mix. The diamotide is great if you have issues with fungus gnats, I usually add D. E. powder to help but this mix has it all and is a lot cheaper than akadama. Always use pots with drainage holes no matter what you plant them in, even if it's just rocky mixes like these - if you have succulents or cacti. The water should be able to run out , and you can sit them in trays to water from the bottom to form strong roots . You can add bark fines or chunky coir to pull the water up and through the roots. Really a very helpful mix !!

I specifically needed something to grow Lithops (Living Rock Plants) in and this fits the bill. Color is muted, very South Western. My plants should be safe from root rot in this gritty mix. Already purchased some.

Product is awesome for succulents

Keeps soil from completely drying out by soaking up some of the moisture/water. Package does not cover the soil in numerous pots. Should be at least 1/2" thick, so the small bag only covers 3 6-8" pots or maybe 5 3-4" pots. It was enough to get me started, but I need another bag to make it thicker. So far, I am pleased with this purchase!

love this product, it keeps my succulents happy and honestly i may try it with the more temermental house plants that need more ventilation in their soil.

I was making some crafts and needed some of these stones. I am more than pleased with the results. My succulents look much classier and the decorative stones dressed up the smaller plant containers. Extremely good purchase.

I put this around all of the cacti in my garden (that are sitting in pots) and everyone who sees it loves the little gritty gravel that's multicolored.It helps to keep weeds & bugs out of my pots too.

Very nice color and size. Used for cactus dish garden dressing.
