the shape is good and the grit does the job - great product

I’m working on the tedious task of painting the oak trim in my house, white. It’s going to be a long process :) taping and prep work are the least exciting parts of any job, so anything that can help make that go faster and smoother is a winner in my book. I use these sanding sponges to rough up the glossy finish on my existing oak trim to prep it for painting. It’s not a fun step, but it’s the difference between the paint sticking to the wood, or simly just peeling off in pieces when it dries. I like that Amazon sells the multipacks of these sanding sponges. I can use one until the grit is kind of bogged down with sanding dust, switch to the next one and finish my work for the day. Then, I rinse the grit from the sponges to remove the excess dust and residue and let them dry. Because I have 6 to work with, I can have a few drying from the previous day’s work, and still have a few more dry ones to get started the next day, so I don’t lose any downtime waiting for wet sponges to dry, or have poor results from trying to use a damp sponge. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Bloc is a bit too hard

I can't imagine a better product. These work well, last a long time and you can clean them in water to extend their life. I used them to sand cabinet paint and primer between coats. This is what expect from 3M products.

These did a good job roughing up door frames before repainting. The grit lasts much longer than on the fancy ones from the local home improvement store. They are an easy size to hold. I would buy them again.
