Kyocera 3Piece Advanced ceramic knife set
Love these knives. Sharp and easy to use. But it is possible to break or chip them so treat them well.

Kyocera ceramic blades are terrific for kitchen use and they stay very sharp and are light weight.
Very sharp thin blades in three useful size/shapes with light comfortable handles. Very light. High quality. My previous ceramic blades have been sharper than steel and kept their edge much longer. I prefer these ceramic blades to steel knives for use in the kitchen, as long as you don't pry with them. Looks nice too. Good value.

Nice and sharp, but be careful!
I love these knives. They are so easy to use and cut better than my metal knives (which are good knives). Just have to be careful as they are very sharp; also, don't drop them as the blade breaks.

Very sharp.
I rented an apartment in France this winter that had one of these knives in the utensil drawer. I used it to slice onions and tomatoes and it was awesome. The knife was dull to the touch but effortlessly cut through my items. The new knives I received are super sharp to the touch so obviously I was using a dull knife in France and it still was awesome. I think I will be very happy with this purchase.

Excellent knives but break and chip easily
Love these Kyocera knives and have been buying them for many years. They are lightweight, easy to handle, and exceedingly sharp. They look great with lots of different handle color options. Cleaning is generally easy with minimal staining of the ceramic. But the downside is the blades can chip easily or even break easily compared to stainless steel knives. Yet, I keep replacing them.

The Best Knives for Their Intended Purpose
Hello! These are not general purpose knives which is why I don't consider them a good gift. For vegetables, breads and boneless meats the sharpness and thinness are impossible to beat with a metal knife. They can not be sharpened so NEVER cut on hard surfaces or hard materials. They are close to glass in terms of durability. If you drop them...broken or chipped. Twist them...broken or chipped. So, add them to your tool box and use them for what they are best for!

KNIFE BLADES SNAP AND BREAK LIKE EGGSHELLS!
DO NOT BUY these knives - they snap and easily break just like EGGSHELLS! While they are lightweight and super sharp, they stain really easily and do not keep their pristine look after you start using them, very hard to clean and the white blades tend to absorb the discoloration of whatever you use them to cut up. The worst thing about them unfortunately is their EXTREME fragility - the knife blades break SO easily and the knife is useless because they are so fragile, the blades snap with normal/typical use. Not durable, these will break very soon after you get them, so sadly they are a complete waste of money and aren't made sturdy enough to be a true quality knife regardless of how amazingly sharp the blades are - the blades ARE the issue and do not hold up to being used like a knife should - instead the blade will snap or break and the knife is done after that.

Awesome, not as fragile as glass - and they can be sharpened.
I feel the need to respond to some negative reviews. I have several of these knives in my knife block along with metal knives, and I almost never reach for the metal ones any more. These are just so much sharper. 1. They are not as fragile as glass. Yes, they will break if dropped from a great height onto the floor, especially if your floor is ceramic tile, but not otherwise. I've dropped mine several times without breakage. 2. They can be sharpened - you just need a ceramic knife sharpener - easy to find on Amazon. 3. They don't need a sheath if you keep them in a block. I'd agree it's a bad idea to keep them in a drawer where you might reach in and cut yourself, because. . . . 4. They are insanely sharp! Many reviews state that the reviewer has cut themselves because the knives are so sharp. Well. . . . ok, I suppose. I like sharp knives and think they are safer because they are less likely to slip. But if you are a careless cook and slice your food without paying attention, I suppose butter knives might be better.

Love the ceramic knives. Find them sharper and doesn’t dull so easily. The only thing is they can’t be used to pry or it can break esp. the tip.

These are super sharp, lightweight and well balanced, they will slice through most things with ease - fruits, vegetables and fingers. I mean most things but there are things these knives are not recommended for use with, read the instructions in the box to know what not to chop. I've seen reviews where other buyers have complained that these knives are brittle. They probably are thinner than most knives on the market, let's just say they are not thick stainless steel. These blades are not made to be thrown into the sink or dishwasher, or once dry thrown in a cutlery drawer amongst other utensils. They will end up chipped or broken. Then you'll end up leaving a review saying they are brittle and useless. If you want to look after your knives then buy a set of hard knife protectors to slip them in. The knives stay sharp longer than stainless steel and don't cause foods, such as apples, to go brown when chopped. Don't ask me why though. I seen it on the internet and then tried it for myself, et voilà, a chopped apple that didn't go brown. On a serious note - these are top quality blades and if looked after properly they will last for many years.
