NOVOSTELLA Smart Flood Light (25W-1Pack)

The media could not be loaded. The 30watt version is quite bright and the range of colors is good. My first set lasted 3 years outdoors before one light burned out the blue bulbs. The smart life app allows you to set scenes that include cycling through various colors, and amazon integration allows you to set to a specific color and intensity with voice control. 4 lights was enough to light the front of the house, but I just ordered a second set so i could replace the one that finally lost its blue. App control takes a little bit to get used to, but isnt too bad to use, once it is set up. Wifi range seems good, and i really havent had any problems with these.

These were intended to be a lazy person's solution to holiday lights in a middle class neighborhood where you need to hire professional holiday light installers to keep up with the Joneses or the HOA shows up on your doorstep. (We live and work in suburb of large metro area and there's no escaping them.) I was surprised by how well they lit up the full 2 stories of the front of the house. The 4 lights would cover a large area, which we didn't need, but it's fun to swap out the colors. The app is easy to set up and use. We had fun with different light patterns but now keep them shining solid blue because the HOA doesn't have a sense of humor. The best part? The neighbors liked the look so well they are now hiring professionals to install expensive landscaping lights. Anyhow, these seem like they will last and keep on shining through the snow.

Ability to change colors is very nice!

These work quite well. I used the official Tuya app to sync these to my Tuya developer account. I then set them up in Home Assistant to control locally vs using the Cloud. The only thing that wasn't clear to me when purchasing was that these lights DO NOT connect together. You need a US plug for each light. This usually means an extension cord, or multiple extension cords to run them. This is messy and not preferable for consistent long-term outdoor use. These are however great for seasonal use.

Bright lights. Amazing. Only thing is i wish the app had more control of these lights. Also wish there was different connectivity to the lights. This is what I purchased and paid for. Now I know next time to get ones that have more control

I've had this product for maybe a year and a half now, using it frequently throughout that time. Here are my observations from my experience:- The light part of the device works well- The app is horrid; awkward controls with extremely basic functionality. If you want to do something basic like make all your lights the same color, it can do that. You won't get much beyond that.- 3 out of 4 of my lights broke within about a month of each other about 1.5 years in; the light technically functions but connectivity cannot be re-established (see next point)- No buttons of any kind, no power button, no pairing button, nothing. All you can do to reset is plug/unplug 3 times. Which in my case, the 3 broken ones refuse to enter pairing mode (I can only assume the electronics in the device have malfunctioned). So you're effectively out of options if the plug/unplug reset method doesn't work.In summary, this light is cheap and functions for only light/minor usage. If you are moderate/heavy usage, get something else. This one has some major design flaws that forced me to replace it after owning for only 1.5 years.

I have other Novostella flood lights that include a white light. I use them a lot and can then change the color for specific occations. I needed to add to them to cover a bigger area and order these since they showed as an equavalent tag. This is just a buyer beware... my mistake I did not pay attention. The lights are great and works well and I will not hold the lack of white against the light itself. Just be aware that these do not include a white light option.

Pros:Super easy to install and configure to the app.Sleek look when mounted.Very bright.Cons:There is no pure white. You can get close with a light blue, but most people want white in a flood flight.If the device is cut from power for an extended period of time (not sure exactly how long at a minimum), when powered back on they forget all their configuration and have to be re-paired and configured. The worst part is that the lights will flash bright red until you reconfigure them. We installed these in a rental home over an hour from us and when we lost power and they started flashing, our neighbors thought an alarm was going off since there was this bright flashing red light. And even more troublesome was that we couldn't fix it remotely since it had to be re-paired before I could control it remotely again. Had to drive an hour each way to reset it. Absolutely love the lights but wish there was some sort of battery backup.
