I coach wrestling and if I had to take my whistle off every time I got on the mat to roll around it would be a pain. I just drop this under my shirt and it stays out of the way. Review: Made in China - First of all - it IS a really nice high quality whistle. Despite claiming lower dB this ring your ears in contrast to most Chinese titanium whistles claiming much higher dB ratings. Yes it has a plastic insert. I knew that before ordering - but so does many (although not all) titanium competitors. Not really an everyday issue but of course if you should be able to depend on it even though is has been roasted near a fire etc. that might be an issue. Also in contrast to many cheaper competitors the two chambers are tuned slightly differently so even without a pea you almost get that kind of ringing rolling sound instead of just a single flat tone. One disappoint however - Made in China. I didn't knew that and honestly at that price point I expected it to be made in Canada or US. But even so it is clearly supperior to other Chinese titanium whistles. And yes it clearly is titanium despite what other reviers says. You know that when you've had many titanium objects in your hands.
