Entire wreath is made of plastic no wire in it. Back is actually a thick solid plastic ring. You could hang very lightweight ornaments on it but heavier ones might pull and show the plastic ring behind.

Q: Is this wreath silk or plastic?

It’s plastic and was falling apart right out of the box.
